Animal park

ZooParc de Beauval is a conservation-focused zoo with an extensive breeding program for endangered species. The zoo houses a variety of exotic animals such as big cats, pandas, primates and manatees. Visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi and take in scenic city views while staying at the nearby 5min du Zoo de Beauval accommodation in Saint-Aignan. The highlight of the experience includes watching breathtaking bird shows and attending special feeding sessions of the big cats.

It was a great experience. Even though there was lots of people, it was still easy to see the animals and walk around. Over 30,000 animals and 800 species was impressive. We did it over two days. It’s a huge park, so definitely need the extra day.

Juan R — Google review

Really big with a huge range of animals and exhibits so prepare for lots of walking. Can get busy so plan for a full day, closes at 20.00 but most have left by 18.00 so you get a good couple of hours to revisit your favourites close up.Otherwise, a 2 day visit is great value.Food and drink of good quality, and fair pricing.Only negative was that one zone (the one with the dome) has almost no translations to English like in the other areas.

Insanity B — Google review

Awesome awesome place. It takes more than a day to see it thoroughly. The highlights of the zoo are definitely Pandas. Though they sleep and eat, you will find them either of doing it. Also, the Birds and Sea Lion show are beautiful and thrilling to watch. Definitely recommended.

Wow!This is an amazing zoo! I've been to several zoos in the world and this is up there with one of the best. What makes it great are the enclosures. Many of the animals have very larger enclosures with both and inside and outside area, but rather than having just a small dingy cage that is hardly viewable for the inside, many of the inside enclosure are huge, well designed and have several viewing areas. They incorporate many different animals to make the best use of the interior enclosure, for example the huge gorilla enclosure has a river with stingrays, and a pond with crocodiles. The orangutan enclosure is connect to the vivarium. They do so much to incorporate many animals close together to maximize the viewing experience. The massive structure at the top of the hill that houses the manatees is a beautiful building on its own, on top of the fact that it houses a giant manatee aquarium, a river otter aquarium, and an enclosure with bats that you can walk through. The huge netted bird enclosure with the "parkour" bridges is equally impressive, with the fun experience of looking down upon the bird habitats below. Both the hippo and lion enclosures are not to be missed, with multiple viewing vantages. You don't have to walk more than the next exhibit to find a food concession, and what makes the eating experience all the more worthwhile is that wherever you sit and dine, you can relax and just view the closest animal enclosure. I will say that the crepe restaurant we chose to eat at took exceptionally long (25 minutes) which was a disappointing waste of time for a simple meal, but this is France. What is missing from this zoo that is often available in other zoos is a train for the kids. They do have a gondola, but it would have been nice if the gondola was closer to the exit so when you are ready to go you could just take the gondola instead of the long hike to the exit. Additionally, of note is the absence of seating. There aren't many benches to rest on except in the dining areas, so get ready to be on your feet for a long time.

A superb zoo, so many animals to see, we just about did it in a day, but we were shattered at the end. It was very busy, but we still managed to get a good view of all the animals. Cable car was brilliant, and lots of food outlets, we made sure we ate early to beat the rush. An amazing day!

Louise C — Google review

An amazing experience as someone who visits a whole bunch of zoos around Europe. This park is the ultimate package with the most amazing species of animals and most beautiful exhibits I have seen so far!The park offers great shows and the sea lion show was our favorite! Very good choreography and enough spots for everyone. The animals species are so amazing! Pandas, koalas, white tigers, (black) panther, elephants, manatees and clouded leopards are just among some of the rare species to find in zoos. They look good and are a personal highlight! Also, the exhibits are amazing! Most animals have a lot of room. You can walk through some exhibits and see a lot of animals without glass or fences in the way, great to take photos! The park is a little expensive but very worth the price. The prices of food are acceptable and the parking is free!Do recommend buying tickets in advance. It’s cheaper, but no option for iDeal sadly. Make sure you are fit because there’s a lot of walking in the park!

Yurivdb — Google review

Amazing zoo, definitely among the best in the world! The habitats for the animals are really well maintained and the animals look in great shape. The walk can be quite strenuous so be prepared physically if you intend to go through the whole park.I highly recommend visiting this beautiful Zoo which you'll need at least 2 days to enjoy the park and the animal shows.

Dylon ( — Google review

The most beautiful Zoo in Europe I've been to. I don't have so much greenery and water features anywhere. The bird show was amazing. We will definitely come back here with our daughter and husband.

Karolína V — Google review

Superior zoo to any other we have visited. Need at least one full day to see it all. Such a variety of animals and all so content and animated it was fabulous to watch. Very clean and lots of facilities available. Highly recommend a visit

Grace O — Google review

Great zoo divided to 3 sections: Asia, regular zoo. Africa there is also a some for see and amphibious animals and a birds area. There is a lot of restaurants over there, unlike the entrance that were without any queues all restaurants that we saw had long queues between 11 to 14. There is a cable-train (free) that connects both zoo end points. Very nice and clean and well organized zoo

Andrey B — Google review

Very nice . So big ! It is not recommended to go in hot weather. It will be hard for u to walk all around, and most of the animals will be sliping or hiding from the heat. Except the ducks :p other than that it was very nice and lovely

Fatima K — Google review

One of the best designed zoo I have ever visited. It is huge and the path was designed so that one can go around each animals area so they have nowhere to hide from you. It’s built on a small hill and with loads of big trees and green area. Definitely worth the travel from Paris. The cable way is free and connects the two furthest points of the zoo. Strongly recommend it! Bring the whole family and enjoy!

Yang Z — Google review

The best zooin the world, the animals here lives more than in their natural environment. One day is not enough to spend time here to enjoy and to see animals like their natural environement. Very green and clean with many shows wity animals to learn about. I have been 4 times and always was great there! 🐼😍

Gabriel L — Google review

I was blown away by the number of different species and the variety of animals at this zoo. You really need at least two full days to see everything: the park is massive and there is so much to discover. Highly accessible for strollers/wheel chairs, making this zoo a place that can truly be enjoyed by everyone.

Nicole S — Google review

I had such a fantastic time at ZooParc de Beauval! The variety of animals was incredible, and the exhibits were spacious and well-maintained. I especially loved seeing the playful pandas. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out!

Ash G — Google review

This Parc is great a must see location if you are within 2/3 hours drive. Lots of room for animals and also for visitors. The Parc is really big you can easily have a long day over there. Also the indoor reptile and bat part are big to walk for more than 1 hour. At first I thought the entrance fee is quite expensive, also for kids from 3 years old but after 6 hours in the zoo with my kids and not see everything yet, I fully understand why it's high.Toilets are clean and also room for changing diapers,Some paths are a bit steep for wheelchair and baby car.And bring your own food and drinks because that's overpriced by a lot.

Paco S — Google review

The bird show is incredible. A lot of impressive animals. But the park is really packed tight. You go from animal to animal and there is not a lot of focus on education. The focus is fully on the animals and not a lot on the environment and decoration. Also very crowded and narrow roads. Would highly discourage people to visit if you have limited mobility.

Arne R — Google review

Awesome zoo,Animals appear taken care of.Lots of food options within the zoo itself.Prices are reasonable. The Pandas are one of the main attractions. We bought tickets in advanceLots of parking

Kelvin S — Google review

Best zoo I have ever been to. Has everything and is a perfect day out for anyone. I saw loads of strange animals I didn't know existed and dangerous animals that were strange to be so close to. I would recommend going to their sea lion and bird show.

James K — Google review

This is a wonderful zoo. The range of animals to be seen and in excellent enclosures. My son practically ran from one area to another to see as many animals as possible. It was a delight

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Château de Chambord is a vast, 16th-century palace that boasts multiple towers and cupolas, surrounded by a moat. The castle's history includes the cultivation of Burgundy grapes brought by Francois in 1519 and vineyards found less than a kilometre away on the Ormetrou farm until the beginning of the 20th century. The chateau has recently begun replanting its own vines and produces wine once again.

✨(Translated by Google)Magnificent castle that we had the pleasure of rediscovering and introducing to our 3 year old son who loved it.We were lucky enough to visit in bright sunshine with few people (arriving at opening). This is a castle not to be missed. ✨

Jade S — Google review

Wonderful wonderful place. The jewel of the Loire. A short walk from the car park takes you straight to the Chateau which is spectacular. The tour inside is well worth it and very interesting too. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Andrew T — Google review

We visited the Chateau on a French holiday. A very impressive place with heaps of history and things to learn. Lovely expert staff on hand to answer questions. The gardens are amazing to wander around. There is a huge car park, plenty of room for campervans. Its 12 euros for the day to park up so you can make a day of it.

Ross — Google review

I absolutely loved visiting this castle! It was said that it was the model and inspiration for the castle in the movie Beauty and the Beast! With its ornate detailed architecture inside and out, you truly feel the enormity of the castle! To walk the stairs and the rooms it's a vision of beauty from all views! The ground have artistically manicured gardens and shrubbery! A must see!!

Cheryl A — Google review

This chateau takes your breath away. For one it’s one of the attest I’ve seen. For another its design is so unique and intricate. My family and I came to take a glimpse at the chateau from the outside and watch the Birds of Prey show (which was so cool!) We only here for an hour but I can easily see how you can spend the entire day here touring the chateau, eating at the many restaurants, bike riding, and wine tasting. A must stop if you’re in the area.

Alonzo C — Google review

We on a rainy Sunday yet it was a bit crowded. The exterior design is exquisite and remarkable however there are not a lot of furnitures inside. Because this castle is built just for hunting. All furnitures are transportable. It took us 6 hours to roam around and read the history but it was all worth it.

Keren B — Google review

This the most grand of the chateau in the Loire region. However does grand and big mean the best?In my opinion no, there not much original inside and therefore it’s a bit soulless.Big negative, the crowds and volume of people …. With children inside it’s a nightmare. Outside different story, huge open spaces and great to walk to take a bike etc. If you want a chateau with interesting interior and less people, try cheverny nearby

Alexandre L — Google review

Impressive Chateau well worth a visitThe grounds are expansive and the interior is vast, not all rooms are furnished because it would need 100’s of pieces of furniture to fill, some rooms used as an art gallery. There are places to eat in the grounds of the Chateau. This is one truly impressive Chateau , a must see in this region.

MG B — Google review

The most stunning castle I ever visited in France. The appearance is just crazy, day and night. The inside is full of history and the stairs will make dizzy. The food in the restaurant was really good they using products hunting from the gigantic park of the castle. You can access to the roof to have to closer to look of the dome.

Yosita K — Google review

An amazing building well worth the visit - however the whole experience could be so much more enjoyable if they instituted some tour routes through the various parts of the building to keep the flow of visitors moving in one direction. Some of the rooms and corridors are very narrow causing bottle necks and over crowding. If you want a good example of how to do it properly visit the state rooms of Buckingham Palace.

Tim J — Google review

My personal favorite because of the history and that I was here half my life ago with my parents and this time I brought my husband to visit. The exterior is just magnificent and grand. I spent 3 hours walking through and reading what I can find in English about the art on display and how they stored about 4000 pieces of valuable art and kept safe during WW2. The video showed the labor and tasks involved in order to preserve the art that we are able to enjoy today. I'm just in awe walking thru the castle ground and absolutely loved the rooftop. Such complexity of architecture I could not take enough photos. Restoration and upkeep of this and many castles in the region costs a lot and I felt fortunate to only pay less than 20euro and get to enjoy such fantastic piece of history.

V L — Google review

Excellent castle, though lacking of furnitures but it's worth it by visiting and admiring its architecture art.Unfortunately, there is a middle-aged guard who accused my 6 years old daughter carving the wall while she was just holding a lollipop paper and pointing the wall. After, he threatened to throw our family out of the castle simply because I was explaining to him that it was just a lollipop paper and nobody had the intention of digging the wall. Such a nice world classic monument ended up with such poorly mannered staff. It would be a 5 star visit without this inresaonable/unjustifed drama. Such a shame!

Ping — Google review

Absolutely phenomenal views — This chateau will most excite you if you're interested in the architecture and breathtaking views. Very little furniture and decor remains inside, but the bones remains a work of art. Our tour guide took the time to explain to us the significance of several areas and design choices. I only wish we could have explored more!

Olive K — Google review

Magnificent Royal Chateau set in grounds that seem to stretch forever in all directions. Very interesting history and architectural experience. Not quite sure what the inspiration was for the vast range of turret and chimney styles but they certainly add a certain 'quirkyness' to a magnificent, and possibly unfinished, structure. Very well preserved and managed. Take time to explore the grounds, church, waterways and food options available. Well worth a visit

Patrick O — Google review

Brilliant place. The view was amazing from the top. Very big, you have to walk up a lot of steps if your not in to steps person go to the garden.

Cadi F — Google review

Well organised chateau with many facilities around the edge including restaurants and cafes. We cycled in and found a place to park bikes and spent several hours. It was busy on a Sunday in July, but the service was good. The staircase and rooftop of the chateau are impressive, as are the obviously seen views from outside.

Martin ( — Google review

Fabulous Chateau, beautiful grounds, huge amount to see and do. You can park and walk around the grounds without paying to visit the chateau but would recommend to do it all. Restaurants available as well as cafes, some souvenir shops and even a bird show.

Grace O — Google review

Soozing History from every corner of the estate, totally amazing and an honour to explore the Château.Still in lovely condition and so well looked after.A credit to the french historians for looking after this gem so well .Totally recommend the wine tasting, it's a great experience and lots of local information about how it's made and blends .Do put this on you bucket list to go to .

Jon # — Google review

We visited the castle during the May 2017 in the hot summer time. The place was very impressive and filling with historical architecture and well maintenained. The walking in the garden was very superb. All in all, it's a great experience.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Chartres Cathedral is an exquisite twelfth century Gothic cathedral that transports visitors back in time. The cathedral is filled with relics, intricate stained glass windows, and hundreds of tiny statues depicting the life of Christ, all of which makes it a fascinating place to visit. In addition to its beauty, the cathedral also houses around 5 museums worth checking out.

Grand. Historical. Not crowded at all. May not been as famous as Notre Dame in Paris, but no less magnificent without all the hassles in the busy city. Watch out for Google directions though, it led us through a restricted pedestrian zone which was barred from outside traffic on tiny one lane streets. Thankfully the parking attendant pitied us and let us through but it was a nightmare. Be sure to map to cathedral parking instead of cathedral.

Jerome M — Google review

This cathedral is definitely one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen:When you approach the city from outside, you can see this majestic building long time before you arrive. From outside it is beautiful and impressive, but also from inside it is definitely an exciting deep dive into the Middle Ages. I can definitely recommend to stop by

Philipp L — Google review

It's differently worth the visit with beautiful stained glass windows that are very hard to photograph. The story of Jesus in 40 Scripture scenes in great detailed the before through after his death on the cross. It was all pretty amazing and how they saved the stained glass windows during WW2 for the Cathedral. Now, you can view them for yourselves. Enjoy the Cathedral while you're in Chartres!

Bob M — Google review

Beautiful cathedral in Chartres. It's undergoing lots of maintenance right now, but still a great place to visit and marvel at the construction and history. Definitely encourage a visit at night during the festival of lights. The cathedral is lit up on all sides and really showcases the rose windows and statuary figures.

Rob T — Google review

Amazing cathedral with beautiful colorful windows If you pay attention to details you will notice the immense maze on the floor quite entirely hidden by the benches. You could buy ticket for guided tour of cathedral tower. During the night there is a great facade light show. Different from Rouen show that is quite off topic and inappropriate this Chartres show is very well done highlighting the architecture of the facade with colorful scenes

Mauro C — Google review

Always check a cathedral’s website for scheduled events. Our local choir performed and the acoustics are wonderful. The docents lead a very in-depth experience. "Friends of Chartres" in North America contribute annually to the upkeep & cleaning restoration. Way to go, the results are spectacular!

Larry W — Google review

Wowwowwow always wanted to see this beauty, it's lovely 😍 👌 stained glass is amazing

David W — Google review

Absolutely beautiful cathedral with marvelous art. Especially the long marble sculpture behind the altar is astonishing. A must see while in Chartres!

Janne P — Google review

4th time to this amazing, ancient cathedral. They say there is much symbolism in not only the architecture, statues and Stella’s with regards to New Jerusalem, but also in the spiritual journey one embarks on when in and around this Gothic masterpiece.Since my last visits, the restoration work they have completed is amazing. The cathedral speaks more than ever and has a story to tell to believers and non believers alike.

Pijnacker01 — Google review

One of the most amazing experiences I had in France. The cathedral itself is amazing. So well restored after the fire it looks like how it first must have when built. The most amazing part however is the light show in the evening. This truly is a must see. Sensationally mind blowing.

A F — Google review

Our Lady of Chartres Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture! I was in awe of the endless stained glass and detailed art carvings throughout. This cathedral is well known for housing the relic that is believed to be of the Mother Mary's veil worn during the birth of Jesus. This history of this cathedral is incredibly impressive. It's tough to comprehend the endless hours invested into the creation of this magnificent artwork, including the years of renovation. I highly encourage you to make the pilgrimage to see this unbelievable cathedral in Chartres France!

How L — Google review

Under major renovation to save this cathedral. Amazing details and so grandiose! Must see.

Patrick F — Google review

A must see when in Chartres, during the day or after darkness when a light show uses the cathedral front as it's screen. It was nice to see the renovation of the interior which makes it look bright and airy inside, work ongoing. Don't miss it when in this beautiful French city

Ann C — Google review

The Cathedral dominated the small city of Chartres, and is definitely worth a visit inside. I walked the labyrinth, and found it relaxing.

Lesley ( — Google review

Chartres Cathedral is one of Europe’s most beautiful and an experience that promises to transcend time and leave you spellbound. The cathedral stands as a testament to the zenith of French Gothic architecture. With harmonious designs, detailed rose windows, and balanced proportions, every nook and cranny speaks of the meticulous hands and visionary minds behind its creation. Every glance at Chartres Cathedral is an ode to the architectural genius of the past. Its towering spires seem to pierce the sky, and the intricate facade tells tales of craftsmanship that few structures of our time can parallel.

Thomas J — Google review

This church definitely deserves a visit due to the beautiful colored glass and the amazing architecture

Bachir C — Google review

Really impressive cathedral... even though I did not get to enter. But very imposing from he outside. Currently a lot of construction around it though limiting access.

Spectacular!! You can’t believe the scale of the place until you see it for yourself!! Beautiful!!

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Constructed in the mid-17th century by King Louis XIV to project the absolute power of France, Le Grand Controle palace today provides a luxurious home base for guests seeking a unique experience of history and glamour. With sumptuous formal gardens and an enormous size, this splendid palace is perfect for families or large groups looking for an unforgettable stay in one of the most celebrated historical locations in France.

It’s a major pain to buy tickets in person and wait in the entry line. Both lines are incredibly long and take hours, even in old, windy, rainy weather in late October…and while normally I’d NEVER wait in a line that long for anything, this was worth it.It’s also a madhouse, super crowded and will peeve you, but my god I’ve never seen anything like this palace. It’s insane. Epic, grand, ornate, doesn’t do it justice. Feels like a wonder of the world. It’s worth a day trip if you want to explore the gardens. I walked over 5mi and didn’t even make a dent in the gardens, so I’d plan to arrive early and bring good walking shoes. Also an umbrella! Whether raining like it was on me or sunny, the line is so long you’ll want to have something with you to protect against the elements. The palace is so intricate and luxurious it’s hard to wrap your mind around and it certainly makes you understand why the French had a revolution. It’s astonishing and will leave you speechless, angry, and amazed. A very memorable sight to see and a highlight of the trip.

Heather — Google review

Amazing experience – great audio tour, though much more crowded than I’d remembered from my last visit (though that was two decades ago in winter). The gardens were beautiful and the staff were easy to work with. This is a bucket list kind of place you need to visit and see. Simply astounding.

David F — Google review

This place was incredible! Inside was mostly portraits and some medium size paintings so the revolutionary war. The highlight for us was the kings chambers and the architecture. However the real star of the show is the gardens!! No physical maps when we visited but I recommend using the app the offer which will help you navigate the immense area.Oh also definitely buy tickets in advance. The line for people without them had about 200 people in it by 11am.

Kaitlyn M — Google review

Visiting the grounds of Versailles was a dream come true. I ordered my ticket a week ahead of my planned visit and went on a Friday. I recommend going as early as possible. I noticed it got very busy around mid morning and fortunately I was able to take pictures of the courtyard without too many people bombing pics. The palace is huge with so many rooms and so much history to take in. I managed to book a guided tour of the kings private rooms but again I highly recommend purchasing tickets days in advance. Also, get ready for miles of walking. Wear comfortable shoes and please be mindful that everyone is taking photos so please remember public etiquette.

Jessica P — Google review

One of the most beautiful palaces in the world. We bought online tickets and got in fast. The hall of mirrors and arts and paintings were so awesome and the gardens and fountains to the back of the palace were really nice too.

Drew W — Google review

This place was truly unbelievable. As much research that I did prior to going, I was truly not prepared for how amazing and magnificent it is. The historical significance of its time and the former occupants comes to vision as you walked into each of its rooms. And as you wrapped your head around the magnitude of the interiors, you get wowed by the massive scale of the gardens. This is definitely a must visit while in France.

Isabel R — Google review

Just breathtaking in everything, the most magnificent art of that era that I've seen. It's a must visit palace, and I highly recommend booking in advance as the wait times could be unbelievable and expect lots of crowds so it's not easy to take photos.

Ash — Google review

The Palace of Versailles is one of the most beautiful places in the world, I visited it a couple of years ago with my mother and we booked it 6 weeks early. We also selected the package of visiting the personal chambers of the king, so a lot of my pictures are from there. If you intend to visit, I strongly suggest you check their website first and book your tickets in advance. The tour guide might not know good English, so be sure to use any audio guide that may be available. Finally if you have time, try to visit the gardens, which are exciting! We didn’t go this time because our schedule was tight, but be sure to do so! You can also buy food from inside the palace or bring your own, it’s up to you!

Prodromos P — Google review

A must see place for anyone who enjoys the history and art. Make sure you book your ticket online, plan your trip, check the areas on the app’s map (the app has many options to take benefit from), wear good shoes and bring filled water bottles and snack. Check the last entry time for Trillions and consider the distance if you are planning to visit that area. Gardens are vast and have few covered areas, so check the weather as well. Consider 7-8 hours just going around the area just to visit everything shortly.Loved it and will be back.

Hossein ( — Google review

It is one of the most historical tourist destinations. The palace features exquisite decorations and interiors, both outside and inside. The historical information provided with the audio guide enhances the experience. The garden offers an electric vehicle service for convenient transportation within its vast grounds. Given the garden's size, renting an electric car is a wise choice to avoid long walks. On weekends, there's a captivating fountain show. I highly recommend using an audio guide during your visit. It offers fascinating insights into the rich history of the place.Reserving tickets in advance, preferably the day before your visit, is advisable. Visiting without a reservation can lead to lengthy waits, and you might miss the opportunity to explore the palace's interior. It's an incredibly captivating place, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Ahmad A — Google review

The garden its huge so it could take you 3 hours to fully see everything. I would plan a better weather day to go (raining), so you could enjoy the boat ride, the palace itself, we could not make it ut was fully booked and no places were left

Bouchekoum N — Google review

What an experience! It's even grander than I had imagined. Expect to do a LOT of walking and definitely get the passport ticket WITH little train return ride. We spent an entire day there and it wasn't enough. READ everything about it on their website so you can decide what day to go, because not all of the property is open every day. Also, the Gardens are not always open and free. On Musical Fountains and Gardens days, you have to pay to get in. You also have to pay for parking and entrance to the castle. Again, I stress you do your research before going. AND PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE. They only let so many people in every half hour.

ABG P — Google review

I would reccomending booking your tickets in advance and go early on in the day to beat the crowds, it's definitely worth it. The Palace and grounds are extensive and you can easily spend the whole day there. We caught the train here from Paris and it was easily one of the highlights of our visit to France, a definite must-visit! Absolutely stunning and lots to see whilst you are there. The ticket also allows access to other buildings in the grounds, which are not to be missed.

Beth K — Google review

It is definitely recommended to purchase tickets in advance, we were at the queue at our time slot and easily got in to the grounds,The palace has lots of interesting history throughout it's many rooms with loads to see and read. It can be really busy so timing is of the essence to get photos without heads in them. There is a restaurant within the building but it was so busy we didn't bother, luckily we brought food and had it out in the courtyard. The grounds / gardens are huge, you could spend hours wandering round looking at the monuments, statues, fountains and various exhibits. This is a full day trip so plan round this to get the full experience.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Definitely one of the most amazing palaces I've visited in the world. If you love history you'd definitely love this place! It was very busy, but we went during a very busy time of tve year so that was expected. The gardens are gorgeous and you can easily spend a few hours in this Palace. I'd highly recommend 🏰👌❤️

Chryso N — Google review

Crazy grand and beautiful. The garden is beyond huge make sure you have 3-4 hours spared if you plan to see the palace and garden in one go.The location can be reached by rer, make it very easy to visit.

Victor T — Google review

What an amazing experience! Only a quick train ride away from a metro station if staying near the Eiffel Tower. This is definitely a site that cannot be missed. I do recommend going with a tour group so you know where to spend more time in certain rooms along the way. The palace is very large and you will want to explore all of the rooms in addition to the grounds as well!

Alicia B — Google review

Took the metro from Paris City centre to the Palace of Versailles. There are lots of steel sculptures in the palace which are incredibly beautiful and the garden alone is spellbinding. Should I come next time, I’d make it a point to go inside the palace. I was not able to go in the last time I was there because of the long lines to go in. It could have been one of the best and memorable experience that would have lasted forever.

Jesuis_jasper — Google review

Bought tickets online. Versailles was of course magnificent but the vast numbers of visitors meant I took mostly pictures of ceilings. Don’t miss the carriage museum over the road which was included in our ticket. It was one of best bits, in my opinion.

Hui L — Google review

A must visit for any history buffs out there and all those who love palaces and the grandeur of Paris. Didn't go into the Palace this time but I promise you it's breathtaking and well worth the journey from the city center. Highly recommend buying tickets ahead of time, as with many other attractions in Paris and even if you do not decide to go in, just marveling at the Palace from the outside will wow you.

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is a stunning 17th-century chateau surrounded by formal gardens, offering a remarkable blend of architecture and natural beauty. The interior is steeped in history, with well-preserved decor elements that transport visitors to the XVIII century. The audio guide provides an engaging tour, complementing the overall experience. A highlight is the impressive kitchen, adding to the chateau's allure. Visitors can also enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant and bar area.

If you want to see except amazing interior also its garden, you need plus at least 3/4 hour, because is very, very large and best views is from back of this beautiful garden with many ponds...

Marian V — Google review

Beautiful castle though quite pricey. Well cared for and a well done audio guide in the price included.Impressive and important in history. A nice visit. Our daughter of 6 even enjoyed it. The food in the self service restaurant at the beginning is a recommendation! There is much to see and discover. If your kids want to dress up, they need to be at the dress room between 12 and 14.

Tess L — Google review

Chateau is a little bit old, but the vast beautiful garden is marvellous! You feel relaxed and refreshing walking along the stone paths in a well designed landscape architecture decorated with green fields, flowers, fountains and rivers.....

Anthony W — Google review

This castle is absolutely stunning from the outside as well as the inside. There is the option of hiring costumes which we did. The kids loved it. I also recommend hiring an electric buggy to drive outside the rest of the gardens as the domain is huge. There is parking outside, a restaurant inside and an outdoor bar where you can get limited refreshments. This is a must-see castle with very interesting history behind it.

Anne R — Google review

This place has a fascinating history, the building is stunning inside and out and the gardens are magnificent. We went on a Saturday and stayed to enjoy the candlelights all over the building and garden and the firework show. We would absolutely recommend making the trip out here (it’s close to Paris) to live like a King for a few hours!

Mari-Ann K — Google review

Spectacular castle… the gardens are so impressive and clean!! You can admire them for a whole dayThe last entrance is at 17:30, but the castle closes at 19:00.

Xenia M — Google review

A very beautiful chateau! I appreciate how the displays in the chateau have English translations as well. The Christmas light show and displays were magnificent! The staffs of the chateau were friendly as well.

Michiko A — Google review

An unforgettable visit!Absolutely loved the visit here. The audio guide is recommended to understand the back story of Nicholas Fouquet.Bring some sandwiches, and you can have a nice picnic by the gardens!

Yazeed O — Google review

The audio guide through the hunting lodge adds real flair to the experience. Makes you feel why other similar castles of sorts can't provide more sanitary and easier to hear over-the-ear headphones, AS WELL AS automatic audio as you step into each alcove instead of having you punch in buttons. The audio speaks like a story but I won't spoil it for you. There are scenes of the kitchens that remind me of the elaborate dark rides in Disneyland. The outer gardens are enormous and you can rent golf carts to get around speedily.

Ally L — Google review

This is an absolutely incredible place. The chateau is beautiful and you are able to tour so many rooms. They have a great audio tour in many languages that is really well done. The gardens are wonderful. You are able to walk for hours if you choose. They do rent golf carts if you want to get around quicker. This is a highly recommended place that is no too far out of Paris.

Lance W — Google review

This chateau is absolutely stunning! We visited whilst we were staying in Versailles (it's approximately 55km south east of Versailles) and it was definitely worth the journey. The audio guide does a fantastic job and there is lots of information to read about the associated history. Lovely café on site too. Highly recommended 👍

Colin C — Google review

Interesting monument despite high entrance fee.The audio guide is a not convenient at all: doesn’t respect you own pace, cannot be moved forward. In addition it is more a Disneyland approach : we don’t learn anything about the castle itself

Arno F — Google review

We had an AWESOME time. Took us about an hour to get here from Paris, taking the train and Uber. Rented a Club Car to get around the beautiful grounds. The Château is very beautiful inside. In addition to being The Drax Residence in the 007 movie “Moonraker”, inside there is very nice art, tapestries and period furniture and clocks. We also enjoyed a relaxing cafeteria style lunch and ate outside. Was a great day.

Randy [ — Google review

This castle is a must-visit for those who like history, especially about France, the view is magnificent and I didn't want to go back home 🏡. There is an automatic electronic device that gives you proper guide during your tour.

Chef N — Google review

I believe it's an incredible castle to visit, not only because it's stunning but also unique in its kind. As a privately owned property, it is meticulously maintained, with every aspect of your visit thoughtfully designed. I've visited twice already and can't wait for a third trip, as the experiences offered are beyond expectations. Kudos to their creative team!

Aleksei T — Google review

We only had half a day here. Would loved to have stayed longer. Gorgeous chateau. Highly recommend hiring a golf buggy to go around the grounds. They are vast and it was so much fun.

Photographing weddings at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte in France is a truly exceptional experience. The breathtaking 17th-century architecture and the magnificent formal gardens offer an unparalleled romantic setting. The grandeur and elegance of the château, along with its beautifully manicured landscapes, provide a stunning backdrop for capturing timeless moments. Each wedding at Vaux-le-Vicomte is like stepping into a fairy tale, making it an extraordinary location for any wedding photographer. Can't wait to go back there- IG- LaurenAshleyStudios

Lauren S — Google review

It was a great experience to be out in the French countryside and learn a bit of history without the massive crowds similar to Versailles. Taking a golf buggy around the grounds was a fun way to see everything and take pictures as quickly as you can. Food was very traditional French fare in the restaurant, which was an experience by itself (Andouille sausages, for example).A must for anyone who wants to experience chateaus without being overwhelmed by the crowds.

Mario D — Google review

I went on a Saturday evening for the candlelight visit. The views from the garden were superb, especially as the night set in. The inside has a few nice rooms, although if you've seen Versailles, Chantilly, etc. then you know the drill. The audioguide is a love-it-or-hate-it affair: over-the-ears headphones with 3D sound; re-enactments of period scenes as you enter various rooms; can be cool if you take the time to listen.

O. P — Google review

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is a stunning and historically rich château, offering a truly immersive experience into French history and architecture. The beautifully maintained gardens are just as impressive as the château itself. However, the estate is quite large, so I highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore the grounds without getting too tired. The rental is €25, with a €200 deposit and a driver's license required. It's definitely worth it if you want to cover more ground and fully enjoy the beauty of the estate at a comfortable pace.A must-visit for history and architecture lovers!

Cemetery

Sights & Landmarks

Père Lachaise Cemetery, located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, is an expansive burial ground adorned with tall trees. It encompasses more than 100 acres and houses around 69,000 elaborate tombs that can sometimes be extravagant. This cemetery holds a significant place in history as it is the most visited one globally.

Great place to get away from the buzz of the city! Calm atmosphere, it was interesting to walk along the graves that have been there for nearly 200 years. It was very fun to „run into“ some of my favourites artists, especially Jim Morrison, even though his grave is a little hidden behind a tree in second row.The cemetery also seems to be the meeting point for some locals, who were all very friendly!Great chance for a quick rest or just a nice walk.

Jo — Google review

Well worth the visit, we took a couple of metros to get here from the centre of Paris and did not take long. Arrived around 9AM to catch the October sun. The place is very relaxing and you could walk here all day if you want to. So many fascinating things to look at here. It's worth going just to relax and take it all in.

Random U — Google review

One of the most interesting and beautiful places in Paris and at all, with some notable people that are buried here! Including: Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Proust, Balzac, Jim Morisson and more. The cemetery is a beautiful place 🍂 sad but beautiful 😔 especially in the autumn

Liat W — Google review

As cemetery’s go this is by far the best I’ve seen! Not that I’ve seen many!!The graves/tombs were a site to be seen. They were huge. Some like small houses. Some must have cost a fortune. The cemetery is huge too. You need good foot ware as the paths are all cobbles. On arrival we were given a map. We intended to find 1 certain grave Oscar Wild which we did. But also came across Fredrick Chopin and Jim Morrison. At these graves there were plenty of other people there looking.A good few hours out as the place was so big. Free and well worth a visit!

Jo — Google review

I absolutely adored the style and atmosphere in this cemetery, it is so artistic and beautiful to behold! The scenery is beyond poetic, and I am glad that I have managed to visit it in the Autumn, as this season fits it most.

Ioana P — Google review

Beautiful cemetery which was started in 1804. It's the largest in Paris and has all sorts of well known names such as Edith Piaf & Jim Morrison buried here. Some incredible graves! It's very vast so bring sensible shoes!

Stephen R — Google review

An absolutely stunning Cemetery. This place is HUGE! You could easily spend hours walking round here.A really interesting way to spend the afternoon, looking at graves, mausoleums and cute cats.

Alice C — Google review

Stunning landscape of tombs, wonderful to wander through and read about people frome yesteryear. I tried to find Jim Morrisons grave, but couldn't - even though I had a map. Spent about 3 hours here. Lovely visit.

Theresa J — Google review

An amazing location to visit in Paris! It is one of the largest cemeteries in the world with close to 3 million people interred in graves and in the columbarium. Each single grave is a work of art. One may go to visit the graves of famous individuals buried there but will end up finding that pretty much any grave is a magnificiwnt work of art which tells the story of somebody’s life. Definitely worth it!

Adrian M — Google review

This is a beautiful and serene cemetery, which can take a few hours to walk around if you really spend time looking at the diverse and ornate tombs and mausoleums. Even without all of the celebrity tombs belonging to the likes of Jim Morrison (his tomb is almost obscured and sort of hidden) and Edith Piaf, this is still a place of inordinate beauty. Bring comfortable shoes and a bottle of water (in case you get thirsty) and experience one of Paris's most notable landmarks.

James M — Google review

Cool cemetery in 12eme arrondissement of Paris city. Very artistic and beautiful in serenity.I also love to running circling around the cemetery.

Putri D — Google review

A large, quiet cemetery with a couple of famous people buried. At the entrance you'll get a free map of the place. This place is not suitable for wheelchair users and strollers, the road is made of cobblestones. Some gravestones are beautiful works of art, a must to see when you're in the neighborhood!

Kevin C — Google review

Big cemetery with many cute tombstones where Chopin is buried.French cemeteries really own the cutest and most creative tombstones of all the cemeteries I ever seen (she said, with an ardent interest in visiting cemeteries).Although we were asked to get out 30 mins before its closing time (according to google maps

Tanya Z — Google review

Tombs, Tombs, Tombs and more tombs. This place is flooded with tombs. Each tomb belongs to a prominent family. I admire the architecture and design for each tomb. It seems these tombs belong to rich aristocratic families. There is a lot to see. Better get a warm coffee during winter and walk around. I do not know many famous families of Paris but if you do, you may find it. The chapel was closed so we were not able to view it. What I admired was the doors and the stained glass window inside the tomb. We did not have to pay a fee to visit this place. The bus took us right to where the cemetery was. I always like to read what is written on the tomb but I was not able to find it here. Toilets are available but I discovered often there is a line. You will enjoy it.

Ravi L — Google review

Really interesting cemetary to walk through. Would be nice and spooky to walk through here at night. Was hoping to see some feral cats but I was there around noon and didn't see any, which does make some sense since cats are crepuscular (more active around sunrise/sunset). Walking through the tiny paths, respectfully of course, and amongst the graves and mausoleums was a good way to spend some time. Only saw one interesting bird as well. Not the best place for birdwatching.

Matthew H — Google review

Beautiful serene historical cemetery in Paris. Lots of famous French, celebrities like Jim Morrison of theDoor and litersry great Oscar Wilde, to name a few. Beautiful in spring time

Dexter C — Google review

A rainy day walk around the cemetery. It’s always beautiful to admire each unique tomb and the varying architecture at every step. One can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, really depends how much time you have in your hand.It was not so crowded that weekend, still a little more than the Montmartre one (ofcourse). You can also download the map to locate famous tombs, need to scan the QR at the entrance.

Pallavi A — Google review

That's amazing cemetery! So many famous people rest here in peace.I was impressed by good quality of so many cobblestone lanes. And the underground part of the cemetery where urns with ashes were placed impressed me too.

Piotr A — Google review

One of the places I really enjoy visiting is cemetery. I find peace and beauty in it. Pere lachaise is one of the places in Paris that you can visit for FREE and find many famous artists, writers, musicians and so on there. I specifically went there to visit famous Iranian writer Sadegh Hedayat, who committed suicide in 1951. He is one the modern avant grade writers whose known for hus book Boofe Kor.

Shay — Google review

Really nice relaxing place. The place was calm and restful and full of interesting memorials. Our family was there to see where my dad’s ashes were sprinkled and we couldn’t have hoped for a better place for him. He’d have loved it.But I have to flag out a couple of things: the toilets there were filthy disgusting, so go before you get there.Secondly, this man latched on to us and followed us around and pointed out various graves. Most of his facts were wrong and we weren’t there as tourists, we were there to pay our respects. Then when we had to go he demanded money, which we neither expected or had. We gave him our only €10 note but he got really abusive and insulted some of our party when he stormed off. Watch out for people like this. We didn’t invite him and his behaviour was inexcusable. I wasn’t expecting anything like that inside, so be warned.

Theme park

Water & Amusement Parks

Parc Walt Disney Studios is one of the two theme parks that make up Disneyland Paris, featuring areas dedicated to movie and TV related attractions. It may not be as large as the main park, however it offers rides more suitable for younger children such as the popular Cars ride. The Hollywood Tower and Ratatouille are considered to be two of the main attractions in this park, which boasts a beautiful setting and aims to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Walt Disney's production studios.

We had booked a 2-day ticket for both parks in advance, then spent a full day at Disneyland and a full day at Studios. Beautiful and quite exhausting. Good preparation is important - snacks, water, comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Plan your time wisely, it can get very exhausting. Food and drinks are available in small snack bars or restaurants (don't forget to make reservations), prices for them are quite high. There are a lot of stores with souvenirs, so plan a little extra money.Queues at the rides can be very long, sometimes up to and over an hour. We occasionally bought the paid Premier Access to skip waiting time. A quick option can also be the Single Ride entrance, you don't sit next to your partner, but you don't have to wait in line as long. After 9 p.m., the queues get much shorter. If you don't necessarily want to watch the fireworks every night (or are satisfied with back rows), it's the best option to wait in line only for a short time.We loved that you can meet your superhero in person, either with booked appointments or random walking in the street.Make nice memories and have fun!

Dori T — Google review

It is a great experience. We try almost all attractions in one day because is not so big as distance between them and also the waiting time aren't so much all the time. Just the coastal cruiser and ratatouille it was all day a 60+ min waiting time. But for this you can buy a premier one access and in less then 10 min you will be on the ride. For the Avenger campus we didn't have the chance to se a show of avangers because on the Disneyland map is not saying when they can appear.Be aware, some of the attractions are closed for renovation, see in the app before purchasing or visiting.

Razvan S — Google review

10/15/2024There were a couple cool rides but Disneyland's theme and continuity is way better than Studios. Definitely things I'd like to do again, just not as engulfing.

Aaron P — Google review

Great short weekend getaway!! A couple of things:1. You must buy your tickets in advance2. It’s not too big and not too small3. Disneyland Paris has their own champagne and it is a must try for all adults!!!4. Wear good walking shoes because you’ll be walking a ton!5. The food and snacks are a must try treat6. It’s mostly in French (for people that are curious) very little things have other language optionsOne of the happiest places on earth!!!

Justine P — Google review

The attention to detail throughout is what separates this park from other theme parks. Fantastic place to spend time with the family... Do be mindful that the sole goal of Disney is to empty as much of your bank account as possible whilst you are there.

Brkn O — Google review

I'm a huge Disney fan and have been to both US parks multiple times, so it bothers me to not give 5 stars. The reason for withholding one is due to the size. It's a very small park and you can do everything in about a half day. Plans to add lands and expansions will help. What is there is really nice and the Avengers coaster is a lot of fun. It's a nice park, just not one you'll spend a while day at.

Chris B — Google review

Lots of work underway in preparation for the Summer/Olympics so even the entrance is rather underwhelming. However Marvel Campus is spectacular, the shows were all great and Toy Story rides enjoyed by all. Probably only need a full day if doing 2 shows, a superhero encounter or particularly long ride wait times.

NH D — Google review

You're never too old for a sprinkle of Disneyland magic, and my recent jaunt to Disney Studios Park proved just that! Opting for the cinematic thrills next door to Disneyland itself, I felt like a kid on the red carpet, ready to dive into the movie-making universe. Here’s the lowdown for fellow adventurers:Plan to spend a solid 6 hours – there’s enough star-studded action to fill your day. Skip the fast track tickets; the real insider move is the singles track, which zips you past the long queues with the flair of a Hollywood escape scene. Now, onto the budget-buster: the food. Yes, it's priced like you're dining with the stars, but the culinary delights at Pym's and Stark Factory are worth the splurge. Think of it as dining in style in the Marvel universe—where every meal is super-powered.Every show in the park is a blockbuster hit, so don’t miss any! From stunt spectaculars to enchanting animations, it’s a full schedule of Oscars-worthy performances. However, I must admit, a tinge of regret lingered as I missed the legendary Disneyland next door, with its iconic parade, mesmerizing drone show, and fireworks that could put a Hollywood premiere to shame. Note to self and others: maybe next time, double-feature it and hit both parks! And, if you're a fan of the Avengers, the Avengers Arena is not to be missed. It's as happening as a superhero gala premiere. Make sure you hit all the rides and attractions; it's non-stop action that will have you feeling part of the team.In summary, Disney Studios Park might just be the best 'sequel' Disneyland has ever produced—full of action, a touch of drama, and lots of laughs. Definitely a must-visit for those who like their theme parks with a touch of Hollywood flair!

Parc tematic de distracții! Merită încercat măcar o dată în viață! Recomand rezervarea biletelor din timp!(Translated by Google)Amusement park! It's worth trying at least once in your life! I recommend booking tickets in advance!

Grama S — Google review

Great for the kids but definitely recommend paying for the early 08.30 (hour earlier) entry and hitting the bigger rides before the queues. Food is expensive onsite as you might expect but take snacks and drink bottles as places to sit and picnic.

Lynne P — Google review

A bit smaller park than the disneyland one, but still as fun! The day can be more chill and no rush to do all the rides as you can do them all in half day (if it's not too busy).A different vibe than the neighbouring park, but still has it's own magic, fun, and details that don't disappoint 🥰Excited for the new frozen world to open soon!

Monica I — Google review

This park is very small and there were so much Contruction going on, not the best first impression visiting Disney Studios. Not much to do here at the moment. Our favorite ride here is the tower of terror and ratatouille ride! Our favorite was the Nemo coaster ride and we did this ride first thing in the morning. We did have reservations for Bistrot Chez Remy, it’s very expensive for the quality of food, basically you pay to have that Disney experience and my kids love it since they love the ratatouille movie. Will visit this park again in the future when all construction is done.

Freddie C — Google review

First of all the hotel. Real nice people working there, helpfull and breakfast is rather good. The rooms are a bit "old and stuffy". Nice and clean bar and even a little shop. We mainly used that for delivering the things we bought in the parks.Park(s) are nice, one of the cleanest I have ever seen. A lot of animation and the rides themselves of course. a lot of shops, perhaps a tad too much in some cases, it really is made to cash out but we knew that before going there. We had 4 days, to be honoust, in 3 days you can see everything and for the long waiting rides you can do that an hour early if you stay at the hotels. The next part is more a comparison with some parks in Europe we visited as well. Think about the Efteling in The Netherlands or Fantasia in Germany:- The staff working at the rides are a tad less friendly, they are shouting and demanding fast ins and outs. Allmost like the military. At the other parks it was way nicer.- People all over Europe come here, logical, real nice but at the restaurant a lot of kids who really were loose....primarely UK people.- French park going people really don't care much of the other Europeans visiting their park, rude, rude and more rude.So the Park and people at the hotels are great, a lot of things to do for small children and big ones.Great to have experienced it but not something I would do next year. Perhaps in 10 years or so.

Daniel L — Google review

Disney Studips is a great 1/2 day park, magic of the movies but mostly Marvel now. Fun park with some great rides but half of the park is now focused on the Marvel IP. It is still a good park but may not be everyone's favourite, great rides and themeing.

Liam ( — Google review

The Studios park is very small (half the size of the main Paris park, and I believe the smallest in the world), yet it still has some great rides for all ages. I particularly enjoyed the Avengers coaster, Crush's coaster and the Tower of Terror for their 'big thrills' and a solid nod to Ratatouille and Spider-Man for their fun and unique rides. There were also a few rides that we were able to take our 1-year-old on, so that was nice and important to us as well.

Disney's Hollywood Studios Paris immerses visitors in the magic of movies with thrilling rides and captivating shows. From the dazzling Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to Star Wars-themed attractions, it's a must-visit for film buffs and families seeking action-packed fun in a charming setting.

Magical and fantastic experience from start to finish. The theming is phenomenal, it's clean, and the staff are friendly. We will be coming back, time and time again!

Jon M — Google review

On July 15, 2024, while feeling bored and tired at the nearby Disneyland, my wife took me here. We first watched the last show of Together which was very entertaining and I loved the Pixar band. Then we watch the musicals of Dream Factory and Frozen which barely met our high expectations. We also tried the games, particularly visiting the Hollywood Tower Hotel, which was actually the tall infrastructure of a G-force game!

Peter C — Google review

Amazing park, they are currently constructing a lot so that does decrease the experience a little. I would suggest waiting for the construction to be finished. They are also building Frozen Land. Nice to see that this park is finally getting some love from our American friends.

Laccs — Google review

I went to Disneyland Paris with my family and we really enjoyed it. Lots of rides to enjoy from and the best part is we could take our 3 year old son for most of them along except for one or two rides which had height requirements. I would recommend to visit both parks as they have their distinctive attractions. One park is the Disneyland park which has its attractions based off their most iconic characters. The other park is the Walt Disney park which has its Marvel themed attractions and rides and many more associated with their motion pictures characters. But if you do plan to visit Disneyland Paris then please don’t miss the Lion king live show because it takes you on a nostalgic journey and it’s absolutely worth the money

Visitors can take advantage of weekday visits for photogenic opportunities while weekend visits offer more fun activities. Purchasing tickets in advance provides access to special offers, promotions and costumes for children and seniors. Easy transportation options are available through Google maps or other sources.

Visited for my birthday, fortunately not too busy and good weather. As good quality as all Disney resorts, though if you are after thrills, maybe Walt Disney Studio Park is better? Pick you day/s well in advance, and hope for crowds to be thin. And be a kid - we get enough of adult life on the outside.

Like I was a child again (and I'm 48 this year)!!!The athmosphere, music by the theme all over The park. Happy faces, The joy on peoples Faces, quite many old couples having The time of of their lives. We were there as a family, mother and two adult daughters and it was a dream come true. And all The details, The flowers and shops and Halloween-decorations!WOW!!!Go MICKEY❣️

After being in Tokyo and Orlando it was not not impressive. The Sleeping Beauty Castle was very nice and seemed refreshed much the park seemed in need of a bit of cleaning up and touch up. Overly crowded. No chance to get reservations for a sit down restaurant a week in advance and the lines were between 45-90 mins. Just not a value added experience. When we have to line up over an hour in advance for a show this is not worth the money. The village is way past it's prime and needs the construction that was ongoing badly. Recommend waiting at least a year before coming. Two day should be enough but the line delays were crazy. Positive note. Staff is always amazing and the night drone show and castle display were the highlight of the trip. Find your piece of asphalt early....

The parades were absolutely fantastic! It was extremely busy and the queues for rides were all well over an hour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And we were served quickly at every shop we went to, whether for food or gifts.Overall, a wonderful day.

Great couple of days at Disneyland Paris. You can easily do both parks over 2 days. I can recommend the Tower of Terror, Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Ratatouille ride and Pirates of the Caribbean. If you suffer from motion sickness I would seriously avoid Star Wars hyperspace mountain, I have never felt so sick from a ride before! It is just too quick for the short sharp bursts and your head gets rattled round a bit between the shoulder pads. April was a good month to visit and didn’t have to wait long for the rides. The park was clean, plenty of places for food and drink but it is just the same food repeated in the different cafes. Merchandise is pricey so make sure you save up!! For the park tickets I used a website called Attraction Tickets who were cheapest, easy to order and got them to download to my phone within 10 minutes. Hotel - we stayed at Adagio Serris Val d Europe which is only a 15 min walk or free shuttle buses stop outside. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again and the surrounding area is brilliant and includes a shopping mall and designer outlet! There is direct transport from centre of Paris and then from park to airport. You couldn’t ask for more!

Well worth a visit but I recommend buying a premium pass as the queue for rides are up to 80 minutes for the better rides. Very friendly staff and services were well maintained. Plenty of food and drink choice. Only downside was they were doing some work when we were there and some of the park was closed at the Walt Disney studio park. Take snacks as well as can be very expensive buying food. End of the night is spectacular.

Stuart H — Google review

The experience did not meet my expectations. I anticipated a greater variety of rides, particularly roller coasters, but there was only one in the entire park. The queue times were excessively long, with some exceeding an hour. The Disneyland app offers the option to purchase a fast track for €80 or a one-time fast track for a specific ride for €5. However, certain rides incurred additional charges. After queuing for some of the "rides," visitors were directed to a room or box where they were entertained before proceeding to the ride, only to find themselves rushing to the front of the queue once again. This seemed counterintuitive, as the extended wait resulted in losing one's place and having to queue again. Food stalls were strategically located throughout the park, offering crepes, nachos, and donuts. However, the prices were relatively high, with a single crepe and a soft drink costing €7, which is to be expected in such settings. The park can become congested and challenging to navigate. Despite using the app, I encountered instances where the instructions were inaccurate, leading us on a circuitous route. Shows were scheduled regularly, so missing one did not pose a significant issue as the next one would soon follow. Additionally, securing a good viewing spot was not difficult. It is feasible to visit both parks in a single day if desired, as visitors can exit and re-enter each park.

Devyn M — Google review

So expensive but so worth it. Pirates of the Caribbean are the best single attraction. Definitely recommend going around to see everything from the outside and just go for a couple of things you are most interested in. Also, download an app, there is a map and information about how long you have to wait.

Wonderful place to visit with family. I have no words to describe, everything is so wonderfully created. It requires minimum 2 days to visit both the parks.Must seeAll the paradeNight show of lightsAll the big thrill rides

RAHUL S — Google review

The magic of Disney, what else is there to say. Fantastic for all the family and all ages. The only disappointment was the lack of pool facilities in the Newport Bay Hotel where we had taken our family for a three day break and the amount of construction works and closures, understandable but nevertheless disappointing especially for my granddaughter.

Disneyland Park is absolutely breathtaking. The park is beautifully designed, creating a magical atmosphere that captivates visitors of all ages. There’s an abundance of activities to enjoy, from thrilling rides to enchanting shows. Every attraction is impeccably themed, transporting you into different worlds with incredible detail and creativity. Whether you’re meeting your favorite characters, watching a spectacular parade, or experiencing the excitement of the rides, there’s always something amazing to do. Disneyland Park truly offers a magical experience like no other.

The R — Google review

We had the most amazing time at Disneyland at the beginning of September. We stayed on site and got the extra magic hour which for us was well worth it. We came as two adults and enjoyed it. Surprisingly, there was a lot of people there. I only say that as it wasn’t during a school holiday so we were thinking it would be a little bit quieter. It was an incredibly magical experience and our first holiday together it will be remembered fondly! If you’re looking for an amazing keepsake, definitely get the champagne flute as it is only €20 and you do get a champagne with it. The only thing that let it down a bit was the construction that was happening all over both parks but it’s one of these things and is only being done to give better quality experiences to us all.

Emilia P — Google review

Very nice. Disneyland put too much efforts to give some unique experiences to the customers. The parade shows were awsom and night firework and all other shows. It's really worthy. But it seems overbooked and very expensive food and drinks inside.Less shaded areas.

What a magical experience at Disneyland. Never thought this would be that amazing. Felt nostalgic and recalled childhood memories. Rides are fantastic, themed rides are amazing. The best ride was Thunder Mountain. Worth the wait until late 9pm for the Disney Illumination Sky Parade & fireworks.

Amazing 🤩Disneyland Paris is a magical place that captures the essence of wonder and imagination. The park is beautifully designed, with its charming architecture, colorful gardens, and meticulously crafted details that transport you into the world of Disney. As you walk down Main Street, U.S.A., you're greeted by the stunning view of Sleeping Beauty Castle, a fairy-tale structure adorned with vibrant colors, intricate spires, and a moat that sparkles in the sunlight. The landscaping throughout the park is lush and thoughtfully arranged, with flowers blooming in every season, adding to the park's enchanting atmosphere. Each themed land, from the adventurous Frontierland to the futuristic Discoveryland, is immersive and meticulously decorated, creating a seamless experience that feels like stepping into a different world with each turn.At night, Disneyland Paris transforms into an even more magical place. The castle is illuminated with a mesmerizing display of lights, and the sky above is often filled with fireworks, creating a breathtaking spectacle that leaves visitors in awe. The parades and shows, featuring beloved Disney characters, are not just entertaining but also visually stunning, with elaborate floats, costumes, and choreography that add to the park's beauty.Overall, Disneyland Paris is a place where beauty is found in every detail, from the grand architecture to the smallest decorations, all coming together to create a truly enchanting experience.

To be honest, I'm not a big Disney fan—its golden age was in the 90s.However, I stayed here for a few days in one of the hotels. Upon arrival, it felt like we were being herded: waiting in line, going through security checks, then waiting again to check our luggage. Even at the end of the day in the park, staff used light wands to guide us to the exit, similar to being on an airport runway.Comparing this place to theme parks in America isn't fair, since this is a different country hosting an American theme park. So, those comparisons should stop. The restaurants get crowded fast, so you need to make reservations early; otherwise, your favorite spots might be unavailable. Some places don't need reservations, but strangely, some were always closed. There are several parades and dance shows throughout the day. The park has many shops, but most of them sell the same items—there's not much variety. Also, these 'top tier' hotels don't have refrigerators, which is strange.Despite all that, we had fun and made great memories. We'll probably visit again next year.

We had an amazing time at Disneyland Paris! The park truly captures the magic and wonder that Disney is known for, with something for everyone, from thrilling rides to enchanting shows and character meet-and-greets. Most things were in English, making it easy to navigate and enjoy all the attractions without any language barriers. The attention to detail in the park’s design and attractions is incredible, making it a memorable experience for all ages. For those planning a visit, here are a few tips to make the most of your day: Arriving early is key to beating the crowds and enjoying popular rides with shorter wait times. Consider using the Disneyland Paris app for real-time updates on wait times and show schedules—it’s a game-changer for planning your day. Don’t miss the parades and the nighttime drone show; it’s truly spectacular and a highlight of the visit. Finally, pack some snacks and water to keep you going throughout the day, as food lines can get long, especially during peak hours.

What a fantastic place to visit, it was a family trip in remembrance of my father who had recently passed away, he would have been in his element, so it was my husband and I, 3 of our sons with wives and children. It was so much fun for the kids, and for the grown up kids. You just can't gauge how big the place is until you visit. We all want to go back. The fantastic staff help make it a few days to remember. I will add photos later, they have not allowed me to post this before so have been refused the post, I will put photos on soon that don't have people on.

I went back in July 14th 2022! I loved it so much! The staff were friendly and helpful for me and my friends who I visited with! The ride queue was long as we expected but the wait was worth it! Some rides took longer than others which is normal! I downloaded the app to help navigate the park and it was extremely helpful- I recommend it! There is lots to see, so many small details that can capture your attention. It has a wonderful environment in Disneyland Paris! I visited in extremely hot heat (a heatwave) and there was nice cold water available to get and fill your water bottle up with! I will be visiting again!

Tess H — Google review

This is a good day out for sure. Look online for offers before you go as there are normally some good online deals so you don’t have to pay the extortionate entry fees at the entrance. You can normally get 2 for 1 tickets online which you can then have on your phone to scan in when you enter the park.To save money it might be worth taking a rucksack with you with some snacks and drinks. There are water fountains through the park that you can refill your water bottles with. Some good rides and it’s nice when the weather is good too. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

The theme park Astérix Park is located in France and is dedicated to the stories of Asterix. It features family-friendly rides, shows, and costumed comic book characters.

Excellent park for thrill seekers! Lots of roller-coasters and otherwise sensational rides. The Roman VS Gallois show is also a must see! The food is well priced, as are the fast pass tickets. I definitely recommend this park!!

Keely K — Google review

We had an amazing time at the amusement park in France! The roller coasters were absolutely thrilling—perfect for adrenaline junkies. My child had a blast, and there were plenty of rides suitable for all ages, which made it a fantastic family day out. The park was clean, well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lively, and there were many attractions beyond just the rides, including fun shows and games. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it for families looking for excitement and adventure!

Nice amusement park! 🎢🎡🎠 Lots of attractions for kids and thrill seekers! Coming around Christmas was great! Queues were not too long but can imagine on a sunny day you spend most of the time waiting. The theaters and shows were great.

Fun theme park just outside of Paris. My wife grew up with the books so she was hugely excited to visit. We stayed at the hotel in the park which is also themed from the books. The hotel stay includes park entry and 30min early access. The hotel, meals and room were fantastic. The park itself is even more impressive. Generally clean (if you can get used to people smoking literally everywhere), rides that went down for maintenance were back up and running same day and everything stays true to the theme. I would brave France for a repeat visit.

It is an exceptional theme park, considering its right next door to Disneyland Paris. The park is clean and easy to navigate around, and surprisingly, for France, most of the staff are reasonably nice.

Stuart B — Google review

Great and massive place, but I believe you need for sure 2 days! Even though it is far from Paris, it's worth the effort!

Stamatis K — Google review

Absolutely recommended for everyone. Really nice attractions, however a lot of things are only in french. But even those who don't speak french will have an amazing experience here. The crowd was big, but not that huge. The main point of coming here is because Disneyland is extremely crowded with over a hour wait time on all rides and it's extremely expensive as we would have payed almost 1000euros for 2 person which is ridiculous. Here we got away with 200€

Ákos B — Google review

We had the best time at this Parc and hotel. Highly recommend. Great for family or thrill seekers. Exceeded our expectations. Queues midday were getting long. So recommend the fast passes in peak season.

Derek M — Google review

Spent 2 days here, the park was fairly busy. Having last visited 22 years ago it was amazing to see all the changes. The park oozes quality but with its unique and insane storytelling at heart. Combines with excellent Staff, world class rides and exceptional themeing this really is one of Europes best theme parks.

Stevewalsh1987 — Google review

I love it. The park is nicely decorated. What I like about it is that there are a lot of rollercoasters for adults and not only for kids like in Disneyland. I put 4 stars because the waiting time is way too long. 1h30 approx for each rollercoaster.

L M — Google review

Sauberer Vergnügungspark. Nicht so überfüllt. Viele Achterbahnen, mussten nur zweimal ca. 20 Minuten anstehen. Sonst max. 5 Minuten.Essen eher teuer.(Translated by Google)Clean amusement park. Not that crowded. Many roller coasters only had to queue for around 20 minutes twice. Otherwise max. 5 minutes.Food rather expensive.

Kilian E — Google review

Much more better than Disneyland! I mean with one ticket I could even watch "olympic games", theatre, and acrobatic performances, enjoy the attractions, learn about french culture jokes and stories. Super good experience! Another wonderful thing is that the park reserves the place for family with kids to play and rest, it's very relaxing.Only one thing I don't understand is that if the official shuttle bus is from RATP, why Navigo holders need to pay for bus?

LANZE L — Google review

Beautiful winter day. Great park with loads of rides and play areas in a small area! Can see your favourite characters and discover some new ones.

Susie M — Google review

Better than Disneyland in my opinion. Although we went during a public holiday it wasn’t that crowded. For some attractions we’ve waited up to on hour while for others only 20 minutes. The ambiance was really nice, the park was clean and the staff quite friendly. The food and beverage are a bit too expensive though

Costin S — Google review

Great theme park. Smaller than other parks so easy to get around and the queues were about 20 to 30 minutes for most rides. Roller-coaster queues were longer. Really nice theming and good choice of food items.

Adele H — Google review

Can't believe it took me this long to visit, but normally we drive past on our way to Disneyland and then we've had our share of theme park excitement for a while. This Halloween however we made it a point to visit and try the new coaster. Both Toutatis and the park surprised, as did the hotel and Halloween celebrations. We'll definitely return.

Bjorn H — Google review

Great rides and shows. A lot to do for every ages. The app is annoying as need to have the phone in hands all the time also it offers limited customer experience I found Signalisation in the park needs improvement, there is too much information everywhere and not clear enough/not easy to navigate when we are with kids. Some restaurants close early & some open later means at 5-6pm there is no dinner options in some area unless walking a lot. Also it needs more food variety and some menu cater for intolerant person. It’s very hard to find water refill fountain, staff doesn’t know and one said go to the toilet !! Instead they prefer to sell every drink in plastic bottle which is not good. We finally found one tap after 2 days in the park with drinking water in the halte des chevaliers! They need to really evolve and improve the customer experience like in Legoland, futuroscope, Disneyland or parks like these where international travelers are used to visit. All the games with giant low quality stuffies are a bit out of concept and looks like we are in a village funfair thing it’s a shame.

Christophe G — Google review

Lots of big rides and great theming. Was packed when we visited so recommend getting a silver fast pass to ensure you get a go on everything at least once.Toutatis was the headline ride, get there for rope drop and run to ride that first. It had a big queue in the morning but ended up being about 30/40 mins queue later in the day.Great ride ops, great theming, great park.Doable in a day.

Kevin M — Google review

We had an absolutely brilliant day at Parc Asterix! Staying at the park hotel made the whole experience even more convenient, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in the park. We treated ourselves to fast passes, though the queues were never more than 30 minutes, so they weren’t always necessary. All the rides were fantastic, and with our daughters, aged 10 and 12, being tall enough for everything, we were able to experience the entire park. The water rides were especially enjoyable, providing much-needed refreshment in the sun.We ate at the park and enjoyed most of the food, though we noticed that some restaurants had limited vegetarian options. One downside was that we didn’t find anywhere to fill up our water bottles, so we had to nip back to the hotel to refill them.Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Parc Asterix to others!

Catholic cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Gothic cathedral Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most iconic and beautiful architectural sights in all of France. The cathedral, which was built in the 13th century, features intricate stained glass windows and flying buttresses on all four sides. The cathedral is significant because it was the site of coronations for French kings from 1027 to 1825.

The Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Reims is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Its stunning façade, adorned with intricate sculptures, leaves a lasting impression. Inside, the grandeur of the nave, supported by elegant columns, is awe-inspiring. The stained glass windows, renowned for their artistry, cast a kaleidoscope of colors that bathe the interior in ethereal light. The cathedral's historical significance as the site of French royal coronations adds to its allure. Despite enduring damage during World War I, meticulous restoration has preserved its magnificence. A visit to this iconic cathedral is a journey through time and a testament to human craftsmanship and devotion. It's also free to enter but has a gift shop within which supports it's funding. Highly recommended!

Sanka I — Google review

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Reims, France. It's centrally located, so lots of shops and restaurants available nearby. Beautiful religious structure that's free to enter and open into the early evening. The entire space can be seen in less than half an hour, or you could easily meander around / sit soaking in the space for much longer depending on your preference. Lovely statues and stained glass. There's also a little shop located near the main entrance with kind and helpful staff members.

Amanda V — Google review

The Cathedral of Reims is an architectural masterpiece! 🏰 Its stunning Gothic design and intricate details make it a must-visit in Reims. The cathedral's rich history and significance as the coronation site of French kings add to its allure. Don't forget to admire the beautiful stained glass windows and take in the grandeur of the interior. A true gem in the heart of Reims! 🌟

Elin K — Google review

Such a amazing cathedral. Lovely glasswork, can not understand how they did all that work in the 13th century! Strong recommendation! Also Reims was a very nice place to visit: we visited various Champagne cellars and towns like Troyes nearby. Also cruise on Marne river with a lunch was nice. Drank a lot of champagne during that trip! 😆🥂🍾

Tommy H — Google review

Impressive to see. Especially the outside is beautiful with all the details. Inside is nice to see with the glass-in-led windows. When you are in Reims this is 1 of the most impressive sights to visit.

Rolf H — Google review

Stunning Cathedral in the heart of Reims. The architecture both inside and out is amazing, we were pleasantly surprised that it was free entry into the Cathedral and once inside you are free to explore the majority of it. There is plenty of information boards detailing its history and they are all in multiple languages. Highly recommended

Paul B — Google review

Amazing, if you are anywhere near Reims this is a site you shouldn't miss. It's easy to access, in a wonderfully peaceful area, and is as or more stunning than many cathedrals in the country. I could have spent days hearing about the historical coronations and critical events in the history of France that occurred at this site.

Aaron T — Google review

Had the pleasure of taking the cathedral tour at 2:00pm on the 18 of September. I didn’t get our tour guides names but he was outstanding!!! Insightful, knowledgeable, funny and considerate - his knowledge of history and linguistics was amazing - highly recommended

Beautiful cathedral. A must see if you’re on the way to a vineyard tour or visiting the countryside.

Chris L — Google review

One of the most important Cathedral in France. Most kings were crowned here. Shame the main facade was on maintenance, and covered just with a plain white plastic, this affected also the beautiful night show.Anyway the visit is free unless you want a tour, try to visit in the summer and check when the music light show is planned.

LMC A — Google review

Eine sehr schöne Kirche, die auch kostenlos begehbar ist. Leider schon etwas „in die Jahre gekommen“ und an einzigen Stellen sehr schwarz und Bedarf der Restauration.Aktuell, Stand Mai 24, Restaurationsarbeiten und Gerüste an der bekannten Vorderseite, was das Fotografieren natürlich sehr beeinträchtigt.(Translated by Google)A very beautiful church that is also free to enter. Unfortunately it is a bit “outdated” and in only a few places it is very black and in need of restoration.Currently, as of May 24, there is restoration work and scaffolding on the well-known front, which of course greatly affects photography.

Laurin G — Google review

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful, the staff were all very kind. I would definetly recommend visiting the cathedral if you are in Reims or surrounding areas. The cathedral is in stunning condition for being over 400 years old. Overall an amazing experience.

Hugo P — Google review

Beautiful cathedral, free of charge. There it was some scaffolding in the main facade but you still can see the stained windows inside and a beautiful Joan de Arc altar.

Belen L — Google review

Gorgeous cathedral absolutely worth a visit. Where Napoleon was crowned twice. Beautiful stained glass windows. Similar in style to its namesake in Paris. Currently undergoing renovation on the outside. We only visited the ground level which does not require purchasing a ticket although I’ve heard the views from the top are quite something. You can buy tickets online for that.

Mari-Ann K — Google review

Lovely place, free entry. I actually visited the one in Strasbourg, and Belgium the day before and after here and I’d say this was one of the nicest ones. Just unfortunate that they had the scaffolding up outside.

Stunning Cathedral in the heart of Reims. Very serene atmosphere and a must-visit in the city, especially for the intricate stained glass and the detailed masonry. Entry is free and many guided tours are available and go through here. There is also a small gift shop inside which sells souvenirs as well as a souvenir coin machine.

Rajiv T — Google review

Fantastic cathedral, so beautiful and so detailed art. The only weird thing is that they have a souvenir shop in there, it kind of removed the feeling a little bit, but other than that.. It's incredible.

Don't get so focused on Notre Dame in Paris, that you forget the other 36! This one in Reims is stunningly beautiful. Free admission, we walked right in with no waiting on an early Saturday afternoon and loved this church!

Gorgeous. A gothic wedding cake with amazing details inside and out. Free to visit and in a delightful area of cafes and shops. Street parking nearby is very cheap. Recommended.

Deborah M — Google review

Stunning! It felt busy when we visited, but the cathedral is huge, so it was still very easy to explore. Be sure to visit all of the stained glass windows - there are many different styles and images, all truly works of art. You could visit the cathedral for the views of the flying buttresses alone (like me), but there is so much to see, and so much interesting history to learn about.

Pairi Daiza is a 65-hectare park located on the grounds of a former Cistercian Abbey that houses over 5000 animals, including lions, pandas, koalas, gorillas and lemurs. The zoo features geographically themed areas inspired by various regions around the world. Visitors can explore recreated African stilt villages, East Asian temples and the largest Chinese garden in Europe.

I would highly recommend this zoo , the best zoo in the Eu, I was staying at the FarmVille, you are even very close to those cutie animals. I even saw a white kangaroo 🦘 over there which is one of the rarest animals specially in white. You will see more animals when you go there.

Milind — Google review

I have to say I had a wonderful experience here, even though the weather isn't great. The resort is cozy and relaxing. The spa is small but enough for its relaxing purpose, combined with the view is definitely worth it if you want a calming experience. The room is clean with great quality, and the architectural design of the zoo is wonderful, It almost feels like going on an adventure as you often discover different paths. As a staying overnight guest you can "see" (you can't really see animals because there are no lights in the habitat, obviously) some part of the zoo at night, it's still a wonderful experience, because you are staying with animals, my room was in farm area, they even provide small pack of food for me to feed goats and bunny.I recommend this place for anyone who wants to get close to nature but doesn't want to lose the city like convenience 😜

Tong Z — Google review

It's impressive but we had bad weather so experience was a little bit less wow than expected, also few restaurants were closed (maybe because it's not yet high season?).. Definitely worth of visiting and spending day there.

Goga H — Google review

A truly unique experience. The best zoo I've ever visited for sure.Every single detail is amazing. The animals looked very well cared for. Some habitats seemed a bit small though, like the Snowy Owl's.My only complain is that most shops were closed. For this reason I wasn't able to get coin change in order to get a Lemur coin in the vending machines. When I left the park there were no lemur coins being sold at the entrance.I loved the lemurs so I really wanted that coin!

Alex B — Google review

Best zoo I have ever visited. Spread over a vast area, so be prepared to walk. Ample parking space for 11€ . Tickets can be booked online (a few euros less) or in person at the entrance. Ticket prices may vary depending on the day of visit. There's also a train ride within the zoo, lunch areas (with veg options), play areas, toilet facilities, etc..Can spend one full day from 10am till 6pm.

Super nice Zoo. We had our team building there and the premises we used were very well equipped and well located ( Octopus). The food in the zoo is not the best, but it's exactly what most of the zoo's offer. We also played the Mystery game, which was really fun! It's huge so definitely it's a whole day trip.

Very nice zoo. Very big. The animals have a lot of space in their enclosures. When I went the zoo was open until 2300. There were also a lot of live music performances. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The best of all the rest.Been here twice from 11u to 18u and still have not seen everything.Best is to prepare your visit and limit yourself to only 3-4 areas and leave the rest for another visit .Can not recommend the food-options for reason of expensive for what you get . Bringing your own picknick basket so to speak is the most logic thing to do.And if you can : avoid public holidays & weekends .

Delicate architecture, everything made within the zoo is amazing. It feels like you visited a lot of countries in just a day. This is definitely the biggest and the best zoo in the whole EU. It’s so huge that you can’t even finished in a day. And there are a lot of good restaurants inside as well as the accommodation to stay overnight. It’s worth visiting 🤩

Chloé M — Google review

A biodiverse paradise, that may need two days for a proper visit. The only minus are the food options (either unhealthy and pricey or very pricey). They could also invest in enlarging the bathrooms for women. Couldn’t hurt adding a few more cabins (especially at the entrance) for making the overall experience more pleasant.

3 adults went and we can't recommend it enoughFantastic place, loved it. Very clean everywhere, the staff were friendly. The animals looked happy and content, you can see above the water and underneath.Loved the train ride which was an extra cost Car park is massive, you have to pay for that too. The place is massive so we didn't get to do the whole zoo but we will return. We came from the UK mid September

This is the most beautiful zoo I have ever visited. It is an annual trip that I look forward to every time. Be aware that drinks and food are not cheap in the park. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. The park itself is so big that you cannot do everything in one day.

Silke M — Google review

The park is incredible, the sculptures a themes are pretty impressive. I don't give 5 stars because I'm concerned about the animals. I saw several animals that were like... "sleepy". Also, I'm not an animal expert, but I think a Polar bear should have better conditions, more if it's summer. There was an aquatic animal (I think it was a sort of shark) that was huge but was in pretty small tank. These conditions should be checked to offer the animals the best habitat they could have.

Nicole P — Google review

The zoo is incredible, and the themes are so impressive. Best zoo I have ever visited. It really deserves to be the best zoo Europe in recent years. It is very huge, so be prepared to walk a lot. There are a lot of parking spaces for 11€ . Tickets can be booked online or in person at the entrance. There's also a train ride within the zoo and a huge playground for kids. There's also a beautiful aquarium with a very beautiful building. You can spend the full day from 10 am till 6 pm or more till 9 or 10 on public holidays.

Very nice place! Well organized and protected for small children. The atmosphere relaxes you and throws you into the natural world of animals!I recommend 100%!A big thank you to the staff!❤️❤️❤️

Viorica C — Google review

Best zoo I ever had a chance to visit. Great richness of animals (covering the entire world and continents). Besides, the overall grounds, varied architecture and vegetation of the place make it a pleasure to walk through and spend a day in. It's huge so if you're planning just a day in it be prepared for a lot of brisk walking! It's obviously fantastic for kids, between playground, petting farm and proximity to all sort of animals. Even on a Saturday it never felt crowded given how big it is and you'd never struggle to find a front spot overlooking animal enclosures. Food can be pricey (if you go for the buffet restaurants), so maybe bring your own.

Riccardo G — Google review

One of the best parks I’ve ever visited! It’s gigantic and very well kept. Even though there is a lot of people during the weekend we didn’t feel overwhelmed and crammed. Lovely for both kids and adults

Patrícia M — Google review

I have been to many zoos and without a doubt this one is the best. Animals are divided by continents/climates and each of them is living in a similar habitat as in the nature. The habitats are quite big, so you don’t get an impression that they are locked in a small cage. I went there by public transport for which you get a half price ticket, if you already purchased the zoo ticket in advance. I was there on a busy weekend in September and my only complaint would be about the long queues at most lunch places.

The Zoo d'Amnéville is an independent animal park showcasing approximately 2,000 species from five different continents. Along with their animal exhibits, the zoo offers a distinctive medieval-style falconry show. Their Facebook page provides visitors with up-to-date information and photographs of their animals, as well as discussing general animal news. In close proximity to the zoo are 72 hotels and other accommodations that can be booked through Hotels.com for as low as /night.

Amazing zoo! Highly recommend it, you can find all kinds of Animals, birds and reptiles here! Our little one enjoyed a lot and so did we! It’s worthed as you can spend all day here. There are some live shows too, that leaves you awestruck! Luckily we could witness the Seal show and it was wow! Perfect for a one day outing from Luxembourg or France!

Zoo d’Amneville is our favorite place to take our family. We went once, before we decided to buy our first season passes, and have been back 9 times so far this year. My wife and I have two sons, a toddler and a baby, this zoo is our favorite place to take them. The zoo is extremely clean, has easy parking close to the entrance, is a good bargain on price and has amazing animals that you can get really close too. Our family particularly likes the large animals, including the polar bears, brown bears, elephants and jaguars. The park is always easy to walk though, and gives us and our sons many opportunities to get up close and personal with the amazing animal residents. The bathrooms are always clean, and the park food options are amazing with many options of restaurants to choose from. We can’t wait to go back again and see what the animals are up to next time.

Very nice place to visit with kids and family. Lots of restaurants inside and in the surroundings.Show of birds it's a really good surprise, worth to see the 30 min presentation - check their schedule.Gorilla was amazing, so human eyes, you can talk to their souls.Few nocturnal animals, of course, were sleeping.35min from Luxembourg and usually don't need to book in advance. Around 32 euros per person.

Fernando V — Google review

Great park, a lot of animals. Make sure to take foods with you (especially if you have allergies) because food places closes at 14h. After that only icecream available. It’s better to start as early as possible, as we arrived at 12h at it was just enough time to see everything (we were 4 adults, so we were walking pretty fast everywhere). Animals look pretty looked after, in between areas there are enough benches, rubbish bins, toilets. Would come back again in future.

Dovile B — Google review

It is a great Zoo! It was better when they did the Tiger Show and when they had Tiger world but still a cool zoo. I was surprised that there was no replacement Show? We saw the Sea Lion Show and it was good!

Jasmin ? — Google review

Some of the animals where not visible and some were asleep all the time, this zoo is very manageable and you can easily see it all in one day ,unlike some zoos I’ve been too, most of the feedings are not worth waiting for,I will say tho the sea lion show is very good.

Sebastian ( — Google review

Mixed feelings about this zoo. Overall it looked nice and many animals seemed well taken care of and happy enough. We also know that zoos have breeding and research programmes and can help save endangered species. However, at this zoo we left feeling bad for some of the animals who looked utterly miserable and depressed, especially one of the polar bears. We also saw another polar bear, a brown bear and a black panther pacing up and down in the same pattern over and over which could be a sign of boredom and stress. It was also strange to see some animals who typically live in larger groups such as the Gelada and the Gibbon alone outside in a large enclosure and hardly any others to be found inside. I have also never seen so many cracked glass enclosures as at this zoo! Entrance fees were also very high (34 euros per ticket).

Melanie R — Google review

Well maintained zoo and well taken care of animals. Loved how they have curated shows of feeding certain animals. Only disappointment was unable to see Polarbear. And could keep the penguins in a little cooler environment. Seal show was so amazing.. Beautifully trained 👏 We went there around 10.30AM and we could leisurely cover all the animals within 6pm. Food was OK. You can see lot of ice cream shops but food variety was very less. Overall had a good experience though it was raining.

We had a good time in the zoo. It’s huge and has a lot of animals and other species. Good day trip for kids and toddlers. Food options are there but not healthy one. The mini farm for feeding goats are fun for kids

Mythreyi C — Google review

A nice and big Zoo, it has many sections from different continents of the world. There is a huge free parking around it. The tickets costs 35€ and not 17€ as mentioned on google maps. Overall, it was nice to visit and spend a sunny Sunday there.

Noha A — Google review

There is a very large free car park near the zoo, well organized. The zoo itself has a wonderful selection of animals to admire. We feel that a lot of emphasis is placed on the animals living in as realistic an environment as possible. The animals and the enclosures appear well cared for. The large number of species delights young and old. There is also a petting zoo and a playground for the kids. Tip: Take a picnic with you. The food could really improved and it's from our point of view overpriced.

Marcus S — Google review

Great Zoo park to visit for a day out. We were visiting on Sunday, The parking lot is very close to the zoo. I was able to appreciate many different animals.Very impressive Gorilla enclosure. You can get some lunch in the park or enjoy coffee and ice-cream.

Probably the best zoo I have ever been(i visited already a lot), it's not huge but its absolutelly green, like a jungle, Especially in this summer season. Many of the animals have plenty of space, and it feels super clean! :) It was an unexpected experience! I will return :)

This Zoo is a very beautiful zoo. We visit it with a group and find it was very interesting. All animals was great and the playground was the highlight for our little girl.

Natascha R — Google review

Most animals looked sleepy or depressed. Do they give them tranquilizers? The gorilla looked like he was thinking stuff. He should be released back to nature. The raccoons were too thin. They need to eat some junk food. The zoo and its restaurants were seriously overpriced.

Dimitris B — Google review

A wonderful experience, but it is better to provide professional trainers for marine animals (seals) in order to provide better offers. I believe that the polar bear needs better care and cleaning of its swimming pool.

The Manneken Pis is a bronze sculpture of a small boy urinating in a fountain. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Brussels and is an embodiment of Belgian humour and rebellious spirit.

So so fabulous….well worth seeing it..make much you check out the other two also…the dog and girl..best time to see it,is early in the morning…can get very crowded with tourists…

Icon of Brussels, it's very small in size but interesting tourist point. The day I visited it had a special costume, however it is the same street you can find a Grand place and groten market where you will find street full of waffles, chocolate and fries. Also the street for shopping and enjoying the food.

A famous statue in Brussels.📍very close to Grand Palace.▪it is really little, so don't be surprised when you see it.Mostly it is crowded, but people do not stay long.

Selin G — Google review

An icon of Brussels, the manneken pis is a must stop for everyone in the city. The manneken get dressed depending on the occasion. In this case we were lucky to witness live music as local celebrated in the streets.

Daniel P — Google review

Manneken Pis is one of Brussels' most quirky and charming landmarks. This small bronze statue of a little boy urinating is not only an iconic symbol of the city but also a delightful piece of art that brings smiles to visitors' faces. While the statue itself is quite small—often surprising first-time visitors—it’s surrounded by a lively atmosphere that makes it worth a visit. Located just a short walk from the Grand Place, it's easy to include in your sightseeing itinerary. What I found particularly charming is the history behind the statue and the various outfits it dons throughout the year, often reflecting cultural events or celebrations. It's a fun photo opportunity, and you’ll likely find fellow tourists gathering around to snap pictures.Despite its size, Manneken Pis has a big personality and embodies the playful spirit of Brussels. It's a reminder not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the little things. In summary, while it might only take a few minutes to visit, Manneken Pis is a delightful part of Brussels’ charm and a must-see for anyone exploring the city. Don't miss the chance to see this unique symbol of Brussels!

We loved seeing this guy on our trip to Brussels and would pass by him every chance we could. Loved seeing his little outfits. He was in the Belgian national team kit and a little shepherd outfit for Ommegang.

Manneken Pis is one of Brussels' most iconic landmarks, though it's much smaller than most people expect! This tiny statue of a boy peeing into a fountain is quirky and amusing, often dressed in different costumes that change regularly. Located in a charming area of the city, it's surrounded by great cafes and shops. While it’s not a large or time-consuming attraction, it’s a fun stop that adds a bit of humor to your visit. Definitely worth seeing while you explore Brussels!

Hisham K — Google review

Manneken Pis is an iconic statue located near Grand Place in Brussels. We arrived around about 7pm and there were still plenty of people getting their picture taken around it.The statue was smaller than I'd expected, and I'm aware that on some days it can be dressed up. But not for our visit (edit - we were passing on day 2 and he was dressed up). My little boy found it very funny of course.I think if you are in Brussels then you need to add it to your list. It's 5 minutes of your time so definitely worth a pit stop. Plus there's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Graeme L — Google review

If you go to Brussels, you must come here. It makes great photos and the chocolate shop by it is lush. Fun for all ages, kids will find it very amusing!

June24 - it's easily findable on a corner just a short walk from Grand Place. He gets dressed up but on this occasion was not.Can get busy but opportunities to take a snap with him.Iconic, witty, and a very small fountain!

We recently visited Manneken Pis and had a wonderful experience. The statue is iconic and lived up to all my expectations. The area around it is charming, and there's a lot of history and culture to soak in.What made my visit even more enjoyable was the vibrant atmosphere. There were many visitors, but it never felt overcrowded. The surrounding streets are filled with lovely shops and cafes, making it a perfect spot to explore and relax. We highly recommend visiting Manneken Pis. It's a must-see landmark in Brussels, and the entire experience was delightful. Whether you're interested in history, culture, or just looking for a fun place to visit, Manneken Pis should definitely be on your list!

Mat J — Google review

A cute smaller-than-you-think statue not far from the Grand Palace! There are always a lot of tourists around trying to take selfies, but it is not felt crowded as people pass quickly. There are a lot of waffle shops and fritries around, offering delicious stuff!

Mohammad K — Google review

This is just for the statue outside: Fun spot with lots of bustling activity around it. Not much more to say. It’s a very small statue. You can get within about 10 feet of it as seen in the pictures. In hindsight I wouldn’t say it is worth going out of the way for, but seems an essential Brussels attraction to check off the list. There is also a dog and girl in other parts of the city to be tracked down.

Kevin M — Google review

One of the least important things you need to see in Brussels but it’s old and doesn’t take long so check it out and see what outfit the little boy is wearing during your visit.

Nicholas J — Google review

Great statue. I suggest seeing it later in the day if you want a picture because there are fewer people around.

Filip R — Google review

Iconic little guy! Must see when in Brussels. Apparently he has over a thousand different costumes (I also found its Instagram with all of the different outfits). This is a huge tourist area so there will definitely be crowds of people taking pictures of the fountain. Lots of little shops and restaurants in the area. Very walkable.

Katherine H — Google review

If you are in the area it is worth and stop to take a look and see what costume it may be dressed in. It's fun to see how differently it gets decorated. It is only small so if you didn't know about it you could easy walk past. We was looking for it in the area and didn't realise it was right next to me.There is no information around about it so you're better to read about it online if you want to know more.I wouldn't go out of your way to find it, there are a couple more similar statues like the girl and dog around the city to see.

Interesting but Mysterious LandmarkVisited Manneken Pis in Brussels and found it quite fascinating, though I have to admit, I’m not entirely sure about the full story behind this little boy statue peeing. It’s such a quirky and iconic symbol of the city, and you see images of it everywhere in Brussels. There’s definitely some great history or legend behind it that I’d love to learn more about. If anyone knows the full story, please share it in the comments! Despite not knowing the background, it’s still a must-see landmark with a lot of character.

The Grand Place in Brussels is a magnificent, historic square encircled by some of the most impressive and beautiful architecture from the 1500s. The square is one of the best places in Brussels to explore for its beauty and history, with ornate buildings surrounding it displaying intricate stone-work, stunning gold decoration, baroque gables and awe-inspiring architecture. It's a must-see destination in Brussels for anyone interested in history or architecture.

One of the most beautiful squares in Europe, the Grand Place is a historic square in Brussels surrounded by gold laden buildings dating back to 15th century which were guild houses. The Grand Place (French: [ɡʁɑ̃ plas]; "Grand Square"; also used in English) or Grote Markt (Dutch: [ˌɣroːtə ˈmɑr(ə)kt]; "Big Market") is the central square of Brussels, Belgium, and widely considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Here's a breakdown of why it's worth visiting. The Grand Place is a stunning ensemble of baroque guildhalls, representing the wealth and power of the Brussels guilds in the 17th century. The ornate facades, with their intricate details, sculptures, and gilding, are a feast for the eyes. Two prominent buildings flank the square: the Gothic Brussels Town Hall with its towering spire and the neo-gothic Maison du Roi (King's House), now housing the Brussels City Museum.

Family H — Google review

How can anyone visit Brussels without visiting the Grand Plaza? It’s simply remarkable. I’ve stayed on the Grand Plaza which is pretty remarkable in itself, observing the ebb and flow of visitors and the living panoply of the crowds, groups, coming, going and traversing of the place, the plaza in dark and day and in between. Remember: it’s never empty, even at 3 or 4 in morning. It’s very busy. But being there and seeing the vitality and variety that visits is something to see. It’s the tourist center of Brussels so you have access to all and the best of tourist type offerings, excellent, mediocre and camp. And food & drink are a bit dear right there (although not exorbitantly so) so you have to go a bit abroad for a more authentic local flavor and local pricing. The accommodations on the Plaza an excellent too.

Nom G — Google review

This ancient square in the centre of the city is an absolute treasure for any tourist in the hunt. It would be unkind to simply refer to it as beautiful as it is far beyond that.A true haven of architectural beauty with all the attention to detail that you might expect from those old world artisans.Best to get there early as otherwise it becomes quite crowded.

This is a really beautiful town square in the middle of Brussels and a must visit site if you come to Brussels. Here you can also easily find a good meal - why not try a Brussels specialty while here? Or maybe get one of the many, many, many great tasting Belgian beers you can get here?

One of the prettiest market squares that I have ever seen! Every other year, a huge flower carpet is created in the middle of it. You can admire it for free from ground level or buy access to the balconies of the city hall or the King's House. You can also climb the city hall tower to see it!

Absolutely stunning place to visit, a trip to Brussels is not complete without viewing the Grand Place. Beautifully restored it's an amazing sight to behold. On day 1 of our visit they were removing the remnants of a free concert that was held there the night before. It seems there is always something going on here. The area is well serviced by buses, trams or you can just walk to it, and there's lots of bars and restaurants nearby for refreshments.

Such a beautiful square and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy architecture; there's a real mix of gothic, medieval, and baroque and it is all visually very stunning.La Grand Place is very close to lots of eateries and coffee houses, many of which are very reasonably priced. There is also a tourist information office on the square and a beer museum.Beware of extremely uneven cobbles, which aren't to be attempted without a power attachment on a wheelchair-I tried and failed! Returned with a power attachment and it was a breeze.

It's a nice big square, it is very very crowded and touristic on the other hand. But it is crowded in a good cosy way somehow, so it's not a thing that I minded a lot. Furthermore it is really impressive seeing all those buildings with the real shiny (especially at night) gold on the buildings. So this is a must see if you want to see the highlights of Belgium/Brussels

The Grand Place is fabulous and certainly it's a must to see in Brussels.Walking into this old market square I was amazed by the grandeur and elegance of its buildings. Look up and marvel at the architecture all around. The amount of gilding on the buildings is amazing. It is also a very busy place with cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops all around. Then there are many little alley ways, which you can go down and explore. It leads to many interesting places. It would be good to take 2-3 hours guided tour for Grand Place and surroundings. In the evening the the place is illuminated nicely and looks even more attractive.

Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. French-inspired, gilded architecture transports you to a different time. Shops and food available in all directions. The Atomium, a giant stainless steel structure in Brussels, was the centerpiece of the 1958 Worlds Fair. It symbolizes peace among nations and an optimistic vision of a modern, technological world. The design is based on the elementary structure of iron and represents the transition to using atomic energy for positive purposes. Initially intended as a temporary exhibit, it became beloved by Belgians and remains one of Brussels' most famous attractions.

I know the reviews are very mixed on this attraction, but we REALLY REALLY enjoyed it. Just super unique and fun! But the joint tickets with Mini-Europe online and visit that while you’re in the area too - a great attraction!

John W — Google review

I enjoyed it from outside only. It is a very attractive structure with a big parking space and garden. It's a good place to spend a day with kids. Tram stops close to this place. To reaching here is not a problem. Food items are available like ice cream, waffle, pommes etc.

Renjith M — Google review

Lovely to seethe building up close. History of the centre and art gallery inside and a beautiful light show. Separate queue for the lift to the very top which took just over 30 minutes.

Alex W — Google review

Great from a distance, but even better up close. You get a real sense of how massive it is as soon as you arrive. The futuristic design is unlike anything else, and it’s definitely a must-see if you’re in Brussels. The best part was heading up inside the spheres. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, giving you a panoramic look over Brussels. You can see so far out, and it really makes for some great photo opportunities. Inside, the exhibitions were interesting, giving some cool insights into the history of the Atomium and its place in Belgium’s history. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly as you go up and explore. There’s also a nice café inside one of the spheres where you can take a break with a drink and snack, all while soaking in the views.Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit, whether you’re into architecture, history, or just looking for something different to do. It’s one of the highlights of Brussels, and the combination of the views and the experience inside the spheres makes it really memorable.Don’t skip it if you’re visiting the city

Omer M — Google review

Its futuristic design, representing an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times, offers stunning panoramic views of the city from its top spheres. The exhibits inside provide a fascinating insight into mid-20th-century innovation and design. A visit to the Atomium is a must for anyone interested in architecture, history, or simply experiencing one of Belgium's most iconic landmarks.

Ajay K — Google review

This was an interesting attraction. We very much enjoyed the light shows. They're interesting and well made.Even on a quiet weekday this was a popular attraction, so I imagine it's best to book in advance. The exhibition information was fairly interesting, there could have been a bit more done with the space. There are some flights of stairs to climb and descend for part of it. The rest you go up in lifts and escalators. Overall it was worth a visit, especially combined with mini Europe next door.

Catherine G — Google review

This was on our list of recommended place to visit in Brussels. We took metro to come over here.Pretty easy access to this place if you are staying in the Brussels city center via metro. We paid $16 per adult to enter. Views from the top are amazing, you can see the entire city from the top.Loved the overall experience and recommend folks to visit this spot.

Praneet R — Google review

View was cool but pricey when just a view. Tried to go restaurant but it stank of the toilets and no one served us so left after 10 mins and went down to the exhibition. Loved that!! Light show was cool, could relax there for ages. Stitch tired but to be expected.

Maria P — Google review

Very nice ! Especially the light exposition.Don't go to the restaurant, it's a scam : one small bottle of water is 6€, they put you on the side, you won't have a good view with the panorama.Otherwise great experience.

Alexandre L — Google review

What a place to visit. Never been to anything like it. What an interesting place. The light show in particular was great, especially for younger visitors (my 12 year old daughter was glued!)Finding out about the past of the structure, other suggested designed, the world's fair. Great place to visit.

Emma B — Google review

You can't come to Brussels without visiting one of its most famous landmarks. I'd definitely recommend purchasing tickets in advance via the website to avoid having to queue first at the counters. We arrived at 10am when it opened and did notice it already starting to get busy by the end of the tour. You begin by taking the lift to the top sphere for a panoramic view of the city, before touring the different spheres to learn more about Expo 58 and the renovation of the Atomium. There is also a restaurant at the top but we didn't visit on this occasion

Dan K — Google review

Definitely a must see when in Brussels. Each room has something different such as light shows, information on the building of the Atomium and one with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Can get tickets online or in person, but they’re slightly dearer online. There is also a little gift shop, of course!

Elliot W — Google review

I don't recommend it for adults. It's mostly waste of time as you don't learn anything about physics or atom itself. It's just a vantage point where you can see Brussels. I'd avoid it. For kids, it could be fun.

Eren Y — Google review

A must visit when you are in Brussels! Unique space and concept. The line is not too long in weekdays and you can buy tickets there directly or even online. It is very easy to reach by metro. There is a restaurant on top where the views are incredible.

Rishul B — Google review

Amazing place to visit. The staff are very helpful. Different experiences in each ball so visiting each expedition is a must.Lots of souvenirs in the shop. Amazing photo ops. It's on the toot bus tour so book through Best Western city Center to get a discount on the bus tour.

Chelsea C — Google review

Great place. Massive queue to buy tickets, so we ended up buying them online while in the queue, then we could walk straight in! You work your way around the atomium on a mixture of steps, escalators, and a lift. Lots of information about the history of the building. Light shows in some sections. There was a queue to go to the top floor where there are great views, and a cafe. There also a shop on the bottom floor, and photographer when you walk in!

Donna W — Google review

A unique Brussels experience. Great views of the city and the tremendously flat surrounding areas. An interesting look into the history of the worlds fair in 1958 and the excitement about the future expect to wait for the elevator up to the top, maybe 15 minutes and a short wait at the top to come back down. restaurant with an amazing view at the top if you need a little break.

Susan B — Google review

You can get the bundle ticket here to visit the surroundings. It’s a symbol for the world promise to stop atomic bombs and is a popular attraction since then. You will get an awesome view from the top and there are light exhibits in there too

Tien N — Google review

A Unique Tower Experience with Stunning Views! If you’re looking for something different from the usual landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Atomium in Belgium is a must-see! It’s a fascinating structure, offering a unique and futuristic vibe. The best part? The incredible views of Mini Europe from the top! Seeing the miniature landmarks from above adds a whole new perspective to the experience. It’s definitely worth the visit for both the architecture and the panoramic views. Don’t miss it when you’re in Brussels!

Asif P — Google review

Very nice place to visit. They have entry fees of 16 euros for adults. You can also buy combine ticket of atomium and mini Europe, which costs cheaper than the individual price. You can buy the ticket on the venu itself and no prior booking required. There is lift which directly goes from bottom to top. Not all atoms in the atomium are available for visit. You have elevators to go between the atoms which are accessible. The architecture is very nicely designed. There are food stalls in the vicinity. It's located near football stadium as well. Very pleasant and must plan a visit in your BELGIUM trip.

Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station is a budget-friendly hotel with a gym and free breakfast, as well asviews of the city's railway station.

The front desk staff member who checked us in was fantastic. Gave such great recommendations for things to see and do, other towns to visit during our stay, a bit of local history fmto go along with the sites we were seeing each day. He really made the trip even more enjoyable. The rooms are clean and modern. Bathrooms were clean and had all the amenities. Located right across the street from the central train station. Great for traveling all around Belgium.

Spacious room, comfortable bedding. However, they are not soundproofed, we heard the neighbors' TV and more… 🔞Cleanliness is OK but not perfect (fingerprints on switches, door handles, toilet flush, etc.)The breakfast is good but the staff does not follow, you have to wait a long time for it to be refilled (a lot of shortages: jams, croissants etc.)

Great value for money overall!Pros: Very good location. We arrived from the train station and the hotel is 2 minutes from the train station and the metro station . Well sized rooms. Well lit and with good air conditioning. Comfortable and clean beds. Really great value for money. Amazing staff, very helpful and very knowledgeable! Thanks for an amazing time.Cons: The bathrooms were clean and hygienic but the shower area could have been cleaned better. Also the breakfast was okay. It can also be improved vastly. I would prefer to have breakfast outside the hotel next time

Located across the street from the main train station in Antwerp, the Hampton Inn is convenient, comfortable, quiet, and with excellent rooms. My room was superb with excellent bedding. The bathroom was spacious with wonderful towels and amenities. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! It included warm and cold options: eggs, sausage, cold cuts, superb cheese plus cereal, warm bread, and pastries. Coffee was good, from a machine. Another plus was its location, which made it convenient to shopping areas as well as key transit lines and trams. Great staff are always attentive and helpful. It's worth considering if you are thinking of visiting Antwerp.

Très chouette hôtel situé proche de la gare d'anvers central. Confortable et bien aménagé, seul bémol étant la douche très basique et ancienne. Le petit déjeuner est bien fourni et de bonne qualité.Une bonne expérience globale malgré un service basique.(Translated by Google)Very nice hotel located near Antwerp Central station. Stayed here two nights for a weekend with my best friends. The reception staff are wonderful, very welcoming, and helpful! I had issues with my booking due to a last minute change of plan, but the staff very patiently sorted it out and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet has abundant choices. I love the hot drink dispenser. You can get a cappuccino, macchiato, or hot chocolate. The location across the street from the central station is very convenient. The only negative thing I can say is the lack of mini fridge in the rooms. Next time I visit Antwerp, I would definitely stay here again

I love this place. The views are amazing in the lobby and also in some of the rooms. It's conveniently located for touring Antwerp, and a quick walk from the station. The staff are amazing and helpful. They speak fluent English. They go above and beyond to make your stay better. The breakfast spread is great, very filling. You can even grab a piece of fruit for later. The beds are fine, not amazing. The rooms themselves are great, plenty of space, big windows.I would love to stay here again. This was my view!

Interesting location. Not a nice neighbourhood but right next to the central station. Since we took a car, didn't use central station but if traveling by a train, could be an option.Room was basic. Had a small kitchenette but no utensils.Service was okay. Had to wait a while at the bar, as both staff were helping a single customer for quite some time, over 10 to 15 minutes.Decent breakfast with all the basic items.Professional but can't say super friendly.

Jin H — Google review

Hotel very close to central station. We came by car so not very convenient to park in garage 300m in an alley in the rain. Room was nice and quiet and breakfast was well organised with good staff despite it being very busy. Not the same can be said for the reception desk though. When checking in no eye contact, hello/good evening and crew just staring at the monitors instead of helping customers check in. Then a rude group just barged in front of line, without personell knowing they just helped them.Check out just as terrible. No goodmorning or goodbye again. When asking how to receive the hotel parking discount as advertised, the reception was clueless: Interparking Vesting recognized my car numberplate as i'm member of their chain, so I could enter without a ticket and fully charging me for 24 hours.

**Exceptional Stay at Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station**I recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station, and I am thoroughly pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and efficient reception. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome, providing all the necessary information and assistance with a smile. The attention to detail in this hotel is remarkable. My room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring Antwerp. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped with high-quality toiletries. It was clear that the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work, as everything was maintained to the highest standard. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and made-to-order options, every morning was a delightful culinary experience. The breakfast area was well-organized and never felt crowded, even during peak hours, thanks to the efficient and attentive staff. The hotel’s location is another major plus. Being right next to Antwerp Central Station made it incredibly convenient for getting around the city and beyond. Despite its central location, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.Overall, my stay at the Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station exceeded my expectations. The exceptional service, comfortable and clean rooms, and fantastic breakfast make it a top choice for anyone visiting Antwerp. I look forward to returning next year and enjoying another wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel. Happy, friendly staff. Great location. Massive family room with plenty of space.Parking was hard to find but plenty of options available elsewhere

The room was basic but clean in general but I did have to wash the glass before using it.It didn't have a fridge in the room, I missed that a bit.Breakfast was the poorest I ever had: very sad selection, empty teaboxes, rotten fruits. It can definitely be improved.

Perfect one night stop over across the road from Antwerp Centraal station. Appears the hotel is virtually brand new... it is absolutely lovelyHuge comfortably family room with 2 huge beds. Kitchenette and dining table. Large bathroomFull bar and restaurant (which we didn't use, but looked great!)

Nice clean hotel. Excellent location. The only suggestion is to add a few more variety to their breakfast. May look at the Hampton hotel menu in Berlin city centre.

Mukesh D — Google review

I stayed here with family and very much enjoyed it! The staff was extremely friendly and helped with every extra request & question we had. The room was spatious and the entire property is clean. The breakfast had enough variability (although my son missed the fried eggs – they only had scrambled eggs). We very much appreciated the small gym. Greetings from Hungary (Budapest) ;-)

Anna K — Google review

Typical Hampton by Hilton experience—nothing exceptional, but nothing terrible either. The breakfast selection was quite limited, and the room was surprisingly dusty, especially the green curtain, which had visible layers of dust. I kept sneezing throughout my 2-night stay. Location was excellent though.

Anna L — Google review

We arrived very confused as to Belgium's purpose and place in the world. Five nights later, we find ourselves equally confused, but nevertheless rejuvenated. As we continue our travels via Eurostar to Paris, I've been racking my brain for anything I can nitpick. However, the vibes at this Hampton are simply S-tier (remember to ask Hannah how tier lists work, she is an expert).做人要像水一樣. Be open-minded my friends.

Silas R — Google review

This is my go to hotel in Antwerp, nice beds, quiet hotel, nice people in the front desk and a great breakfast.Very close to a lot of nice places to eat and drink as well. And the best of it all it is right across the station.

Dennis C — Google review

Great hotel, clean, accommodating staff and superb location.I had a small issue with a payment which was taken twice but they soon rectified it.The only negative would be lack of bar service, it seems the reception staff double up as bar staff and you could wait 15 mins for a drink during busy check in/out times

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Aachen Cathedral (Aachener Dom) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is one of the most important religious monuments in Europe and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The octagonal Palatine Chapel was built by Emperor Charlemagne as his palace church in 800 and later became the coronation chapel for Holy Roman Emperors. The Gothic choir was completed in 1414.

Beautiful Cathedral. The mosaic tiles inside where incredible. The colours and details were amazing. The outside of the Cathedral were also impressive. Amazing this was done over 1000 years ago.

Bartley C — Google review

My visit to Aachen Cathedral in 2014 was a fascinating journey into the heart of history and art. The cathedral's rich architectural heritage and religious significance left a lasting impression, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and culture lovers. The intricate design and craftsmanship of the cathedral's interior were awe-inspiring. The golden mosaics and beautifully adorned chapels showcased the skill of the artisans who created this magnificent place of worship. The Palatine Chapel, in particular, stood out with its unique octagonal shape and exquisite detailing. The historical importance of Aachen Cathedral as the coronation site of numerous German kings added to its allure. Standing in the same space where centuries of royal history unfolded was a humbling experience that transported me back in time. The cathedral's surroundings, including the charming Old Town and the nearby Elisenbrunnen, provided an excellent backdrop for exploring the city's cultural offerings. However, the experience could have been enhanced with more detailed information provided at various points within the cathedral. While the architecture spoke volumes, additional signage or guided tours would have provided deeper insights into its historical and religious significance.Overall, Aachen Cathedral is a treasure trove of art, history, and spirituality that should not be missed. Despite the minor lack of information, the beauty and cultural value of this UNESCO World Heritage Site make it a compelling destination for anyone with an appreciation for the past and the wonders of architectural excellence.

Sayak D — Google review

This is a very beautiful cathedral absolutely worth a visit. I was really impressed by the beautiful artwork in the cathedral. There was a fee of 1 EUR to take pictures, but that was absolutely OK considering that there is no entrance fee.

Joseph H — Google review

This cathedral is really beautiful inside! Atmosphere there is nice and enlightening. Even on a weekend it wasn't too overcrowded. In some zones you can get only with a guided tour, but general space is available for free.

Olga G — Google review

One of the most important sites in history, if you are European. It's a truly magnificent place filled with enchanting energy. It's where Europe was reborn again, after the Dark Ages.

David I — Google review

Absolutely stunning inside and out.You need to take one of the guided tours to see the real splendor as they take you into the area where the Throne is and right up to Charlemagne's casket. They tell you some of the history and stories of the Cathedral.Entrance is free, but they ask for a donation of €1 for taking photos, the tour is not free.

Chris M — Google review

Considered the oldest cathedral in Northern Europe, Aachen Cathedral is a must-see and an important site in the region. At first glance, the sumptuous mosaics are what draw the most attention. The vault, approximately 32 metres high, is full of details that are worth admiring for a moment. After passing through the vault, you will find the central nave characterised by its impressive blue and purple stained glass windows. Depending on the time of year, the cathedral will be more or less visited, but it is important to remember that this is not only an architectural gem (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) but it is also a place of religious worship, so the visit must always be done in a respectful manner and following the instructions of the security staff. And of course, a couple of visits are not enough, so come back whenever you have the chance. :)

Mateo N — Google review

Very historical Cathedral, it was in fact the 2nd place from Europe to be added into the UNESCO world heritage sites. Would recommend getting some ice cream from the shops nearby and spending your summer evening enjoying the beauty of the cathedral. Plenty of paid car parks nearby but getting in out using the public transport will be the best option.

Nrusimhan S — Google review

Aachen Cathedral is a masterpiece that left me in awe. The intricate architecture and historical significance make it a must-visit. The blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles creates a captivating atmosphere. The cathedral's role in history, housing Charlemagne's Palatine Chapel, adds another layer of fascination. A truly enriching experience for history and architecture enthusiasts

Nomad — Google review

Visited on a Sunday in June.Took the train from Cologne to Aachen, under 1h.Went straight to the ticket office and booked an english tour that was started later that day. We got headphones from our guide tour and he started explaining. I liked the guide as after each fact he was open to questions from the group. The guided tour included acces to the first floor of the dome where the throne is and access to see the church artifacts from close proximity. I would recommend taking the tour as it was rather inexpensive for the historical facts you get in return but the seeing the throne is not so impressive. Tour took around one hour and we walked only like 10 minutes in total. Rest of the time we were sitting and listening to the guide. It is free to enter the cathedral.

Jean P — Google review

Small cathedral, you can attend mass in the morning and afternoon about 1, they allow you to have a tour inside. Be sure to bring coins with you if you want to take an Instagramable pic as you'll pay a euro for that spot. Amazing view inside and be sure to be quiet

Karen C — Google review

Over 1200 years old this Cathedral contains history of Charlemagne and the Middle Ages. The architecture is fascinating and the artwork is incredibly beautiful and meaningful. This is a church and is used today for Catholic masses. The golden reliquaries are beautiful and contain the bones of Charlemagne and the diaper and loincloth of Jesus. Look high to see the ceiling with all of its splendor and look low to see an amazingly laid out floor.Free to the public. No tickets for entrance is necessary. Restrooms are just next door and cost .50 Euro and are clean. Visit the Dom Information center to join a tour for a small fee. I highly recommend the tour. Get your tour ticket as soon as you arrive to get the time and language preferred. You get to see the throne, go upstairs, and go behind the altar. Our guide was an architectural student and provided lots of historical insight.Be sure to visit the gift shop. They have an amazing and wide variety of different religious, historical, and regional items. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.Walk to the Cathedral from Aachen HBF or take a bus to the Elisenbrunnen stop. You can easily buy tickets from the bus drivers. The entire area around the Cathedral is worth a visit.

A pretty cool place to visit. Thearchitecture is very intricate on the outside. It’s amazing how detailed the inside is. Seems like every square inch of this place is as decorative as possible. The stained glass is a sight to see. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy elaborate architecture. A pretty casual environment. You’re pretty much free to walk around at your leisure and enjoy it at your pace.

Theme park

Water & Amusement Parks

Disney-like theme park with attractions including wooden roller coasters and water fountains, light show and fairytale-themed rides.

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed in one of the lake houses for 3 days, 2 nights and had so much fun! The park is beautiful, staff is super friendly, the rides were super well-made, comfortable, original, wait times not too bad…highly recommended! Fun for the entire family!! The only negative was the food options, not the healthiest or tastiest, I think we were better off packing our lunches or maybe reserving at restaurants. Thanks for memories we will never forget!

19 8 — Google review

It was an amazing experience. The most beautiful thing about Efteling was that people from all generations think and talk so well of it and really enjoy it. The rides, the music and the style and design of the park are all so well-thought about. We had a romantic day as a couple.

Maria Y — Google review

This park is INCREDIBLE. Being dutch of course it helps because a lot of the fairy tale voice overs are in dutch. But even if you don't speak the language the park has incredible experiences for all ages. My 2 year old enjoyed many of the activities and rides as well. The kids walked 15000 steps and refused to leave once the park closed. We will be back for sure. The only suggestion i would have is to offer healthier food options. Everything is a sugar overload. Which i understand is attracting children but please adding some healthier options to the menus would be appreciated.

For me personally, a great amusement park. You can eat something or treat yourself to small snacks at every corner and toilets are available everywhere. The waiting times are perfectly fine. We stayed for the weekend and it was great! My son is only 2.5yr and we had plenty of things to do with a lot of rides he could go on. Despite a lot of people, the facilities were always clean and there were limited queues for the restrooms or food. Some rides had a queue of up to 25min but they moved relatively quickly so it went fast. Overall a super place to visit.

Lovely family experience at Efteling. Great entertainment for a range of ages right up to white knuckle rides. Ambience is relaxed and welcoming. Very clean, safe, friendly, and fun. Facilities are first class. Food on offer throughout the site is of good quality and very affordablly priced. Really enjoyed our two days.

It is a nice park to visit, it is cheaper than Disney land but way less activities. It is suitable for toddlers especially the sun beach. It is really busy but easy to enter to the games. We came in Sunday. The food takes too long to order better to order online. You should try the boat to relax.

Deema S — Google review

Tickets to this fairytale magical paradise can be booked online/ at the counter/ vending machine. Better be early with good walking shoes to enjoy the most. Still it's highly impossible to complete the entire theme park in one day..there is an area full of rides, another area full of walking attractions and so on .. there's an app to help with the search. Lots of places for food/snacks,etc..Best theme park ever!! A truly magical experience!!

Mahalakshmi S — Google review

In one word "mesmerizing experience"Efteling has everything which you need for a relaxing and fun experience. It has everything which you think of an amusement park. Started from rollercoasters, live shows, thrilling and theme based rides. But, what I liked the most is the relaxing environment. It's not too busy and you feel like you are transported to a different world, where you can do a relaxing boat ride, listen and live the old Dutch stories ( My 6 years old son loved it ).There are lots of eating places and everything is theme based. We stayed at the Efteling facility, and it was amazing !A few things to remember before planning your visit: if you are planning a day trip then create your itinerary prior to your visit. Download the Efteling app it has everything you know about the part.If you are fun loving and want to do the rides then, try to come at 10 am ( when the park opens ) so you will have less waiting. Lots of indoor rides so the rain will not ruin your plan. And don't miss the live shows.I stayed for a day so we were able to do most of the activities.Overall a very nice stay and experience. We will visit again.

Magical place, great value and nicer than Paris!Other reviews say it is expensive, but we found it great value, especially compared to other theme parks. Best to book one of the residential places (we did bosrijk, which was excellent!) as you get access to the park included and before the park opens to the rest of the public.Food and drink also very reasonable - less than €3 for a beer!!

Very beautiful, lovingly designed leisure and theme park. In my opinion, both young and old get their money's worth and the prices are completely moderate. You can see the attention to detail throughout the park and some of the "big" roller coasters are really exciting. My absolute favorite was De vlieder Hollander. There are a few options for your own picnic in quiet surroundings and beautiful nature.

Not as magical as we hoped. After my first visit in 2018, this was my second time in Efteling. There were a lot of construction sites that took away from the magic, as well as quite a few attractions that weren’t running. Even though we went on a Monday & Tuesday during off-season, it was still quite full and the map in the app wasn’t a lot of use when it came to navigating the park, as it was showing us pathways to take that were under construction. Also, the times shown for how long it takes to get somewhere are not accurate at all, it takes way longer (we‘re fast walkers). It is my best friends‘ favorite park and she will be back, however I won‘t.

Plan a visit here when I was on holiday I really enjoy it 👌spend the whole day and run out of time to try every ride 😔. Plenty to see and do around the park there gift shops, vending machines etc the staff was friendly and helpful the park was very clean and well maintained. The water show at the end of the day was a good addition to the park before closing 5*Only negative thing was the waiting time for the rides 45 minutes Plus.will be definitely visiting again next year mybe even staying there and would highly recommend going.

Top Freizeitpark. The area and the attractions are beautifully designed/decorated in terms of atmosphere, and there are actually hardly any 'dead corners'. There are also many shaded walkways between the attractions so that you are not always exposed to the sun. Only some (places in the) waiting areas are without sun protection. The staff was always in a good mood and organized everything very well. The prices for drinks and food were as usual in parks (unfortunately expensive). However, the entry price is more than fair, even good, in relation to the size of the park and, above all, the opening time (until 10 p.m.!).

This was the most magical experience and I will definitely go back in my life. The Baron 1898 is my favorite ride, the park is surrounded by the most immersive and beautiful wildlife. I will remember this fairytale forever.

Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.(Translated by Google)Beautiful amusement park.Never seen such a beautifully and lovingly designed fairytale forest. We were there during the week and on weekends. The waiting times were limited, but during the week it is much quieter and more recommended. This park is far beyond anything I ever hoped for. It is magical and fantastical. Perfect for all ages. Whether you like big rides or not. There's something for everyone in this beautiful place. I stayed on site and you can easily get 3 days if not more of entertainment. Amazing.

Sophie M — Google review

Fantastic attractions park really geared to children based on the fantasy and storytelling themes. It is generally clean and properly kept, spacious, and well laid out. Some of the topics are a bit creepier than the more modern variants children are used to.Main drawback is the very poor accessibility via public transport, in many cases it takes almost 3x longer than via car to reach, which is a big missed opportunity.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Cologne Cathedral is a huge, imposing building with a beautiful facade. It's also a popular tourist destination with guided tours and views of the Rhine.

Right outside the main train station is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. This Cathedral is free to enter but can be quite crowded during peak hours (midday). If you're short on time, just take the train to the city center and visit this wonder of the world. The rest of Cologne is probably not worth more than a day visit, but this Cathedral is sure worth stopping by!

Isaac A — Google review

The Dom is definitely worth of visit. Not only for it's historical significance and architecture but also for its today's atmosphere. Even with many tourist it offers quite places to reflect and pray and if you are fit and not afraid of heights you might want to climb the tower. The view is breathtaking but not everyone manages it to the top!

Petra — Google review

To visit this marvel church is a blessing. My husband and I were blessed to attend a Sunday mass here and walk around to see the beautiful Gothic design of the cathedral. In addition, to see the relic of the three wise men (three kings) was also a highlight of our visit in Cologne.

Ann L — Google review

Cologne Cathedral is an impressive building. The facade is beautiful and definitely something to spend some time appreciating and admiring, although it is a bit dirty.Entry into the Cathedral is free. The interior of the cathedral is equally as impressive and there are various sub elements to the building / chapels that you can explore. The Cologne Cathedral is a must when visiting this city.

James D — Google review

A Captivating Blend of History and Architecture!
The Cologne Cathedral is truly a stunning structure! As one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture, this cathedral captivates with its immense size and intricate details. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior; the light streaming through the stained-glass windows creates a spiritual atmosphere. With its historical charm and majestic presence, it stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Climbing up to the towers and taking in the view of Cologne is also an incredible experience. Every step immerses you in history, and witnessing the grandeur of this remarkable structure is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!Admission: Entry to the cathedral is free. Tickets are required to climb the towers.
Tip: Be sure to visit at sunset when the sun shines beautifully on the cathedral.

Ekin — Google review

Absolutely Breathtaking. Never before have I been so moved by such grandeur and magnificence. The beauty and artistry undertaken in the 800+ years taken to build the cathedral left me awestruck.A MUST see for anyone visiting Cologne/Köln.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience at Cologne CathedralVisiting Cologne Cathedral was an absolutely breathtaking experience! The grandeur and intricate detail of this historic site left me in awe. The Gothic architecture is truly magnificent, with its towering spires and beautiful stained glass windows that tell stories from centuries past. Walking through the cathedral, you can feel the rich history and spiritual significance embedded in every corner. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting Cologne, whether you’re a history buff or just appreciate stunning landmarks. Highly recommended!

Asif P — Google review

I never get tired of visiting the ‘Dom’ where the relics of the 3 wise men are housed! Well preserved n awe inspiring cathedral, except for the bell tower which is beautiful but unfortunately misused by visitors’ graffiti which is really sad. But once u make it to the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views. They should charge an entrance fee as to better maintain the spaces which are out of sight, such as the bell tower.

Maya L — Google review

Truly impressive and beautiful Gothic Cathedral. You could pay to climb 500+ stairs to the top. From the top, it offered a bird's eye view of the beautiful city of Cologne. Highly recommended!

Lucas Z — Google review

The cathedral in Cologne is one of the most beautiful I have seen I spent several hours looking at the beautiful and exciting figures and decorations in the windows and on the walls. Overall feel and enjoy the calm and atmosphere.Definitely a visit each, I would recommend taking your time, because the place deserves it

Lars L — Google review

This was, by far, the most amazing cathedral I've ever seen in person. I thought England and France had some really nice one's, but they're just not on the same level. The exterior of this cathedral is so intricate, it doesn't look real. I can only imagine how much care in preservation has been taken to keep this majestic sight in the condition that it's currently in. There's just so much detail, that I could spend days looking at it, bit by bit. The interior is just as gorgeous. You cam easily get lost in time looking at the very high ceilings, the stained glass windows depicting various religious stories, the perfectly carved columns, the various paintings, and just about anything else you look at. I especially enjoyed the crypt. It was interesting to see a Cardinal had been added as late as 2017. We ended our visit with a donation, a lighting of a candle, and a prayer. This is a must visit if you're in the region, no matter your religious affiliation. I wish I had more time in the city just to spend here. Make sure you stop by the souvenir shop as well. They have a lot of great, quality items that all help support the upkeep of the cathedral.

Eric H — Google review

The largest 3rd Church in the world.Must take 533 steps to the top of the church, you won’t regret it. It is a charge, €8.00 an adult. No lift, if you can’t manage to go straight up, you can take a break, then move on. Just take your pace, enjoy the view, enjoy the architecture of the Church. It is amazing 🤗

Maggie P — Google review

As soon as you step out of the central station, the magnificent Cologne Cathedral welcomes you. My first experience was breathtaking, as I was struck by both the sheer scale of this enormous structure and its intricate beauty. The darkened façade seemed to whisper stories of the cathedral’s endurance through difficult times in history. Standing proudly in the heart of modern Cologne, this ancient masterpiece truly captivates the city’s skyline.

Hossein M — Google review

This is the most beautiful cathedral I've ever been to. The building is massive, the inside is breathtaking. I also recommend a 533-step climb to the tower, it was challenging, but worth the beautiful views. This is a must-see tourist attraction if you happen to visit Cologne (Koln).

Magda M — Google review

this cathedral is magnificent. It is one of the tallest. I think it is the third tallest in the world and it’s unbelievable to walk around and in you can go inside for free. Just be quiet and respectful. I believe there is also a tour that you can take, I did not do this this time. It’s such a beautiful cathedral. You must see if you’re in cologne.

Anderson — Google review

Amazing piece of work! Definitely something you don’t have in your typical city around the world - must see! Outside the dome may not be the very nicest places to be and be carful of your belongings.

Nico — Google review

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful churches i’ve been to. The size of it is actually pretty breathtaking. The inside is incredible as well. The massive organ inside was playing too, the sound of that through the church was amazing. This is a must go when you’re in the city. You won’t regret it.

Rodin — Google review

The photos don't really do justice to the height of the cathedral. I reached early morning and was able to get some really good shots. It's really close to the station so it was very convenient to reach.

The W — Google review

One of the most exquisite cathedral I’ve ever seen. The Roman house ruins under the cathedral foundation is astounding. Must visit place. It would be better to attend a Holy mass too to listen to the organ playing.

Daryll D — Google review

I have visited many churches and cathedrals in my life, but the cathedral of Cologne every time remains super impressive, both from the inside and the outside. The amazing thing is that you can visit the cathedral completely for free! When in Europe, definitely make your way here.

Located on the Elbe River, Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and its largest port. The harbor is home to four large container terminals and many smaller warehouses and ships berths. Cruise ships dock here for tours of the city's sights.

I took a boat tour of the Port of Hamburg and it was a fascinating experience. I saw giant cargo ships, observed the loading and unloading operations.Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing the Port of Hamburg up close.

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Seeing water flow around is satisfying and very beautiful, Hamburg was such a good experience.Go to the elbphilharmonie and watch the beautiful view of the port of Hamburg and entrance is free, if you have kids you can use the lift, if you boat trip at night is a bonus and costs around 20€, then a bus trip during the day also costed around 18€ for 2 hours and I must say everything was worth it

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

The world's largest miniature railroad, Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, is a fascinating place to visit with its many details and scenes from different parts of the world. The exhibits are carefully detailed and often include special effects such as fire trucks putting out fires or skiers descending the Swiss mountain.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Well worth the 20 euro entry. It wasn’t ever too busy and there’s so much to see that wherever there is a gap on the railing you have enough to see for a few minutes. Incredible detail

Bingsamo — Google review

This is the reason I went to Hamburg, and it did NOT disappoint. It was one of the coolest, most unique places I've ever been to! I was blown away by the attention-to-detail in literally every exhibit. Every exhibit constantly changes too, with night/day cycles and special lighting at "dawn" and "dusk". I spent hours here, and I probably could have been there the entire day! There are countless interactive buttons you can push, which make special things happen on the exhibits. One of my favourite exhibits was the airport, with miniature planes continually taking off and landing... it's just amazing! Children and adults alike will find their imaginations running wild here; it's unbelievably cool! There are also food options and lots of cool souvenirs and gift items available. I bought a ticket ahead of time and went straight in when I arrived, without any wait. It's truly an unbelievable place, I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert.(Translated by Google)We were in Hamburg at the weekend and my husband had wanted to go to Wonderland for years. In total we were there for a little over 5 hours. And what can I say: it was fantastic. The details were incredible and the work that went into it must be immense. There is so much love in the detail - we were and are thrilled. There were four of us in total. My husband, our daughter (6 years old), my mother and I. Definitely worth a visit.

Recommend this place a lot. Make sure you have time to explore, because there's so much to see. We spend about 5 hours exploring everything. I would recommend buying tickets in advance otherwise you'll be waiting in line for quite some time. Food is decent and there's enough choice.

Naomi K — Google review

Visited on 6th June, 2024. Been on the bucket list for a while and finally made it. Lots of people have posted pics, but some of the the ones I have posted are from the behind the scenes tours. Two big tips: One: Go early, no queue, less people there, your ticket is for the whole day, you might as well make the most of it.Two: Do a least one of the behind the scenes tours. It gives you a better idea of the work that has gone into this endeavour. They are available in English and German. Also, if you have a partner who is not so much into model trains, tell them that it is it is not so much about model railways, but complete miniature worlds. Honestly the the level of detail and all of the little scenes are all really well done. You won't need to leave for lunch either, as they have a cafeteria and the seats are from real railway carriages. The first three photos are from the behind scenes tours. The last three are to give you an idea of the detail involved. Initially you see a mountain holiday retreat, but when you look more closely you will see a man standing at a table, with cakes on the table, and a lady lying down reading a book.

Steamtrain P — Google review

One of the most amazing miniature worlds that I have visited. Have been to other such places in south east asian countries which are also very good, but this was on another level. The attention to detail in every miniature is just awesome. Also did their virtual reality tour which was also just a wonderful experience. Highly suggest to visit this place on your trip to Hamburg, totally loved the overall experience. Do book the tickets in advance (online).

Rajat B — Google review

Amazing. The level of detail and amount of work that goes into running this place is unbelievable. Great job. Also, even a day is not long enough to see everything. We were there for 4 hours and only left because the kids were getting tired. They loved it as much as we did - wish we had time to go back!

Pamela G — Google review

Not just a model railway, although that is a part of it. There is a huge amount of geeky joke details to be spotted if you have the patience. It wasn't particularly crowded and on a very hot day thecaircon was welcome. Special note, the cafe is very reasonable but only accessible once you are past the ticket barrier! I imagine on a wet Saturday it could be very busy. Precooked tickets are in timed slots, so there is no waiting time.

Kristian G — Google review

I like a model railway but this is so much more. Pick one point a few metres away and marvel at the detail, then move closer and realise there is more detail, still closer, and you see something you hadn't noticed before. It is immense, and all of it is amazingly detailed, with little stories being told in small corners. I was there a few hours, and I've probably missed half of it. My wife was interested too and she wouldn't normally go near something like this but it won her over.If you need to stay longer, no worries, there is a cafe too.We were on a cruise that stopped in Kiel, got the train to Hamburg, 36euro family day ticket, paid online to get an entry time.Amazing, brilliant, fantastic, wonderland, I'll be back!

Nevertheless, the visit is not a disappointment, quite the opposite. The facilities are extensive and truly fantastic. I had a ticket during the week from 8 p.m. Even at this time of day, Wunderland is still well attended, but not overcrowded and everything is easily accessible.

Der J — Google review

Absolutely brilliant day out. We got the 7:30am entrance and ended up staying for 8 hours! Loads of stuff to see - it just kept going. Not very crowded when we went (a Monday during term time) so no problem seeing everything. Even the food was great. Lots of choice, reasonable prices and comfy seats taken out of old trains.

Simon A — Google review

A really good venue if you are interested in miniture models! We were fascinated by the detail & the work gone into the huge amount of things to see on display. There is a restaurant, toilets & disabled facilities. Parking is limited and you have to pay.I would recommend buying a ticket in advance & calling to arrange your time slot. We arrived in the school summer holidays, so it was bound to be busy. We arrived late in the morning, buying tickets on the day & had to take a late afternoon timeslot for entry. There is too much to see for entry so late. You are on your feet for a while but you can take breaks in the canteen or limited seating areas. Worth a visit when in Hamburg.

Marc F — Google review

Really great experience and recommend a tour! The guide was great. We spent over 7 hours in the exhibition so come with time. I would recommend to come mid day and stay late

Isabella H — Google review

Visited on 07.08.24Arrived 10 minutes early but got told to wait another 5 minutes until our ticket entry they are decently strict with arrival times and entry times.Walked through the whole exhibit but was very crowded, unfortunately did not get to see the airport planes take off from their runway, however, it wasn't a problem as I enjoyed everything else to see there as well. I would have liked to stay longer but decided to head home for food as tickets were in a decently late slot.If you plan to go here you should book a few days or weeks in advance. I did day before booking but only have 7pm as my option. Was a very fun and cool experience.

Puppers M — Google review

This place is crazy amazing! The intricate details for each scene and the hidden "Easter eggs" (references to movies) are everywhere. It's awesome how the sets are interactive - one could spend a lot of time at the airport and the Formula 1 areas alone. The control center is appropriately staffed to address any problems in a timely manner. Definitely a must when in Hamburg Germany!?

Lisa K — Google review

I visited Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, and it was truly a feast for the eyes. The miniatures of different countries are incredibly detailed and realistic. It's amazing to see the work of engineers who crafted these wonderful creations. You can easily spend half a day exploring all the displays. The entry fee is very reasonable considering the experience it offers. I highly recommend visiting this place—it's a must-see attraction in Hamburg!

Rakesh J — Google review

Such a unique place, there are a lot of sized down places like Hamburg, Italy, Switzerland, airport and more. All of these exhibits are made with incredible precision as well as they all feel alive. You can be surprised how many events and interactions you can see happening between cars, planes, buildings etc. (without spoiling anything ;) )You can see everything in about 2 hours, but if you really want to take pictures, see how these "worlds" behave, it can easily take over 3 hours.Go check it out, if you don't know what to do in Hamburg, it is a must 😁

Konrad P — Google review

We had a family visit and absolutely loved it!Unfortunately, we went in the evening and it was overwhelming. Since we couldn't book in advance, we waited over an hour to get in. However, there's a cool waiting room with free cold drinks. 😆I recommend setting aside a whole day to enjoy this wonderland! There's also a restaurant with affordable meals where you can take a break and continue exploring.

It was like a miracle. I even couldn’t expect that it’s possible. Exhibition consists of a lot locations of the world in miniature. Also, various jobs and actions are represented by models that motions when you push the button. We all were impressed by tiny details took in account for each model. There is even represented: railway station and airport, Monaco racing and many and many other things. I definitely recommend this place as must visiting in Hamburg.I recommend buying ticket in advance because there are quite a lot people in any time of day. A good notice that museum works until 01:00, so it’s possible to visit it even at night :)

A fantastic visitor attraction. We entered at 7.45am and didn't Leave until 1pm. There is a cafe but you can take your own picnic in.The displays are amazing, the details are outstanding. The amazing us so impressive, the grand prix Iin Monaco, the sounds are as authentic as the models. It's a hut strange at first that the lights start to dim for an evening effect . The lights in the apartment buildings go on as do the street light. Then night falls and the lights go off. Gradually dawn breaks and apartment lights go on again. It was very interesting to see the teams working on new designs

The park hosts concerts and performances for music enthusiasts and is especially enchanting in the evening when it's illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights.

I am into rides myself and I absolutely loved it here! So many fun games, beautiful flowers, and places to stroll and sit with beautiful settings. If you are visiting Copenhagen it is a must. Lots of great sit-down restaurants inside. Enjoyed getting there at opening for fewer crowds and actually went back at night with it all lit up.

Joanie A — Google review

The state of the garden/park, décor, areas, rides, food—everything was top-notch. Friendly staff were everywhere. And with the nice weather we had, it was simply amazing. But there are lots of things to do even in the rain, I suppose. It's definitely worth visiting even without the rides, which are great! We had so much fun, relaxed, and spent a beautiful day there. It took us almost nine hours, and there were almost no waiting lines (Friday Halloween event). We don't think we will be able to do it (enjoy it fully) any faster. Go, don't wait! 😀 Next time again!

Matej P — Google review

It's a fantastic place to visit, especially in the evening when the lights are on. Additionally, it features one of the oldest roller coasters, making it exciting to ride and see how it operated in the past. However, the entrance fee is expensive, even if you only want to explore the garden without going on any rides (though you can buy individual tickets for each attraction).

Aleksei T — Google review

I had a great time at the amusement park! While the lines for the rides were long, the overall experience made it worthwhile. The park is full of fun attractions and is incredibly Instagrammable, with vibrant decor and unique photo spots.

Lourenz L — Google review

Great place to spend a few hours. Book online in advance, it's gonna be cheaper. Games need an extra ticket. Lot of places to eat and drink (there's also a gasoline grill inside). Recommended going by night. Fireworks at the end.

Fernando P — Google review

Fun, nice, unbelievable experience. The show is professional and bright, meaningful - not only for children, we really enjoyed watching it. But all the rides have its own cost, so u have to pay extra.

Yelyzaveta V — Google review

Beautiful and whimsical. Quite small compared to the American standard of theme parks, but has a unique charm unlike anything else I’ve experienced. Makes sense why Walt Disney was inspired to build his own version.

Hugo W — Google review

One of the oldest amusement parks in the world, inspiration for Walt Disney, and one of the most touristic spots in Copenhagen. I personally think it's only worth the visit if you have kids. Not that big, so you don't have to spend the whole day here. There are many food and drinks options in the park. Nice place but nothing impressive.

Andrés Z — Google review

We had a fantastic day out. The queue looked ginormous to get in, but a member of staff directed us to the food hall - if you have bought a ticket in advance there is another entrance, and we went straight in (just after 11am). We opted for unlimited rides and got the wristbands, it seemed excellent value for money, especially compared to UK theme parks. We managed to go on plenty of rides, but there is so much more to Tivoli - we enjoyed music, a marching band, the aquarium, a comedy ballet performance...! We didn't stay until close as the youngest member of our party needed to go to bed (we all did, to be honest!) but we crammed a lot in and had a great time.

Kay Y — Google review

Beautiful and unique amusement park! Rides for all ages, as well as vendors selling art, and plenty of food choices. The line at 11am opening to get in was super long, but once we got inside everyone dispersed quickly. The max I waited in line for a ride on a Saturday afternoon was 10 minutes (if that!). Absolutely recommend if you’re visiting Copenhagen.

Caitlyn W — Google review

The lightings here are just perfect. Plan on visiting after 3 PM or 4 PM in the noon to catch most of the amazing rides in the day plus Strolling through the markets in the night. Great experience all in all.

Sanjana A — Google review

Great place to visit with family. Better to book in advance as it can get quite busy. It has Europe's oldest roller coaster. Even today it is manually operated. Fun rides all over for all ages groups. There are a of restaurants inside. Open until 11 pm in summer.must visit place with kids in Copenhagen.

Gokul K — Google review

The wait time was less than 5 minutes on a weekday. Inside is breathtaking filled with colorful flowers. I wasn't able to go on any rides. That's an additional charge. Great food and souvenirs can be found in the amusement park. You can also turn in the plastic cups to earn some money.

Oscar C — Google review

Got the ride pass wristband, was definitely worth it for us. Queues for rides were never longer than 15 minutes. Food was decently priced, gardens very pretty. Highly recommend going! Best amusement park I’ve been to. We went on a rainy day, so that could have caused it to be less crowded.

Mamukie B — Google review

Very nice park to walk in and spend some hours with your kids. They have some rides tehrr, but the lines are long. The co cert was nice and the sound quality was high. Located in the city center close to the M station. Good food hall next to it. Many green parts and well maintained plants.

Eliran S — Google review

A mix of everything on the heart of the city. Beautiful gardens, thrilling rides and amusements. There’s a bit of everything to see at Tivoli’s gardens. We went to it on a lovely afternoon until closure. It was delightful to see it at night. The queues inside are not worse than Disneyland with the bonus of everything being closure. So riding is quicker.Even the food we tried was worth it.

Ruben D — Google review

One of the best amusement parks in Europe! The rides are great, the gardens are beautiful. There is so much to see and experience, from shows and restaurants to the rides. Every thing is top notch 👌.The best part is that the park is located in the heart of city unlike most theme parks!

Farzam S — Google review

The epitome of a carnival/theme park. So beautiful and well crafted, I hope to come back with my kids one day. Go during the late afternoon and watch the sunset, the seeing the lights coming on was magical.

Brodie Y — Google review

Amazing, especially at night with all the lights, magical atmosphere. The price is quite high for visiting only… but still worth it. The queues are long so if you plan to go for rollercoaster, have more time in your agenda :)

Veronica L — Google review

This is an amazing gem of an amusement park and would be easy to miss apart from the rollercoaster and couple of other rides you can see over wall! It’s bang opposite the train station, about 15 minutes by train from the airport. It’s in these lovely enclosed gardens with a great atmosphere, even though it was fairly quiet when we went. Very picturesque and Rides suitable for all ages it’s like small theme park mixed with a fun fair in a stately home garden - definitely worth a visit. Only a few pounds to go in with various packages for the rides or you can just pay for rides individually by card. Felt safe and was clean, wish we’d had more time there but had to catch train to airport 😔

Harbor

Historic Walking Areas

Nyhavn is a must-see destination in Copenhagen, known for its iconic colorful buildings and lively waterfront. This picturesque area showcases the city's maritime heritage with historic ships, vibrant bars, and cozy cafes along the canal. It's a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts and food lovers, offering a quintessentially Danish experience. Visitors can also enjoy leisurely strolls and romantic walks in this charming district.

This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... With so colourful buildings.... It was a great spot to enjoy with friends and family. There were so many restaurants available over there and lots of cafes to have some snacks

Kitz K — Google review

I don’t love this place, but if you come to Copenhagen you need to check it out at least.Extremely touristy, but super nice view and vibes.Even though it may seem a bit fishy, try out the boat tours, for the price and how long the tour is, it is extremely worth it to see a bit of copenhagen.

Erik L — Google review

What a charming little harbour we came an hr before sunset and got some beautiful photographs. It's a must visit area for food and drink

Martin S — Google review

Gorgeous spot in downtown Copenhagen! Beautiful and colorful architecture with great atmosphere! Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. One of my favorites and a must-visit when in Copenhagen!

Lennon G — Google review

Nyhavn, the iconic waterfront district, is an absolute must-visit. We strolled along the cobblestone streets, admiring each building with its brightly painted facade, which added to the charm and character of the area. The canal, lined with old wooden ships, provided a perfect backdrop for our walk. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy. Street performers, bustling cafes, and restaurants with outdoor seating added to the vibrant vibe. We decided to sit at one of the many restaurants and enjoyed few beers. The food and drink options in Nyhavn are plentiful. It’s a place that shouldn’t be missed. So beautiful, stunning, and truly magnificent. I couldn’t stop clicking pictures. The colorful lined houses, cafes, and restaurants on both sides of the river make Nyhavn a spectacular and memorable destination.

Highway V — Google review

Such a cute spot! Definitely worth popping by to take a photo. The buildings, boats and canal is such a vibe. No need to spend heaps of time here tbh, it’s pretty busy!

MacKenzie N — Google review

The area itself is kind of small but it's full of life. The building on each side are very colorful and if you go later on toward the evening when sun sets it's very pretty especially with reflections off the water. There was live entertainment when I went and restaurants line one entire side. The restaurants are quite pricey though, so just be prepared for that. Two cheeseburgers cost us nearly $50 and that's toward the cheap end. Almost everything will cost you more than that

Neil H — Google review

When you buy a Copenhagen tourist guide, this is the place you will probably see on its cover. Iconic, touristic. There are cheap 1-hour boat rides if you look carefully.

Alejandro M — Google review

Nyhavn is Copenhagen's charming and colorful canal, famous for its vibrantly colored houses and picturesque boats. With a unique and lively atmosphere, it is the perfect place to stroll, enjoy a meal outdoors or simply take stunning photographs.Nyhavn captures the essence of Danish life and is a highlight on any visit to Copenhagen.Totally recommended!!

Gaston D — Google review

It's a bit of a tourist trap with no real history, but sure does look pretty at night.Regardless, a trip to Copenhagen is not complete without a stroll past these colorful houses and canal boats.

Sam L — Google review

Copenhagen is probably my favourite city in the entire world and having the privilege to travel to this city 3 times in 2 years is just boosting my feelings toward Copenhagen. There is no doubt that Nyhavn is one of the most beautiful place in Copenhagen, although it may be touristy but it still has its magical charm.

Joel C — Google review

What a beautiful city Nyhavn in Copenhagen is! It’s a vibrant place with colorful buildings and scenic waterfront views. What I first noticed was the amazing flocks of tourists in the streets and the friendly locals who are always willing to chat and mingle.I spent two nights at this magical place and loved every minute of it. The area is within walking distance of so many attractions. Whether you're into shopping, food, drinks, coffee spots, or boat tours, everything is there for your enjoyment. This is one of those places where you have to do your own discovery. For me, I was there for the food and tried to get reservations at Noma, but I wasn't lucky enough. However, I did find another special restaurant called Mielcke & Hurtigkarl, which was amazing. Nyhavn is a beautiful place where you can get lost among the charming buildings, delicious food, and the simple pleasure of people-watching.Cheers,BN

Bernard N — Google review

It's the most iconic place in Denmark imo. I enjoyed all my day around this place ☺️The food and drinks there seemed a little expensive, but it is totally acceptable for the place.Enjoy cycling and walking around this place in the early morning 🌄

Jack — Google review

Amazing, but..I wish I had been visiting in autumn or spring because the experience itself would have been more enjoyable. The buildings are as beautiful and historic as you want them to be, but the hordes of rude and disrespectful cruise ship passengers really ruin the atmosphere, throwing their rubbish on the ground and not having basic manners.

Shanna D — Google review

Beautiful scenery, great architecture. Nice boats.Obviously way too many tourist bouncing into everything and being too loud (/s).Restaurants offer the most stereotypical menus with a location added margin.

Pasi S — Google review

Most iconic place in Copenhagen, the little colorful houses now home to touristy restaurants, once home to fishermen painted in various colors for them to be able to spot their house when returning home from the sea even in time of bad weather.Lovely atmosphere. This is the best part of the restaurants, food is quite average, but the views are iconic.

Ana S — Google review

Nyhavn is always our favorite spot in Copenhagen. The colorful dutch houses and cobblestone streets that surround the canal. We always go to one of the canal side restaurants to eat while we watch the people and the ships go by. Accomodations here range from a hostel to a lovely hotel - something for all budgets.

Yvonne W — Google review

The weather was a bit chilly, we took a boat ride it was approx 338 kr, the guide tour was so sweet his name was Peter he explained everything and was so professional.Totally recommend to go

Dino’s J — Google review

One of the iconic places to visit in Copenhagen. We walked around the neighborhood, had lunch and took the boat ride. Since we did not have a lot of time, the boat ride was a perfect way to get a glimpse of Copenhagen.

Arifur R — Google review

It is a bustling and picturesque location, popular with tourists for its colorful buildings and lively atmosphere. It can get quite crowded, so visiting early in the morning is a great way to enjoy a more peaceful experience and fully appreciate the beauty of this iconic waterfront area.

Sculpture

Sights & Landmarks

The Little Mermaid statue is one of the most iconic and recognizable statues in Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue, created by Danish artist Edvard Eriksen, is of a character from H.C. Andersen's fairytale.

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !

Susan C — Google review

You have to walk so much to get to the place just to find coach buses with plenty of people and everyone taking photos. Too far to take proper photos, unless you go into the water. It is only to say "I have been there"

Carla A — Google review

The Little Mermaid is very famous, no doubt, so my expectation was high, but when I arrived it was quite different from what I was expecting. The crowd almost completely shadowed the mermaid understandably disappointed. That being said, the area is still quite nice to take a walk, especially the pair of beautiful swans. I also found some statues very interesting, it is still a spot worth of checking off.

David L — Google review

Well known landmark set at the waters edge next to a well kept park, with pleasant surroundings. As with all known landmarks around the world you get the occasional idiots that can't wait or insist on getting to close to get selfies and spoil it for others but be patient. The surrounding park is lovely to walk around, along with a marina, beautiful fountain, picturesque church and fort to visit making it a great area to visit

Ian N — Google review

Cool to see the iconic landmark. But it’s pretty crowded and unremarkable. Still worth the stroll to see it as it is a “must see” while in Copenhagen. Nice piece of artwork though.

Ross B — Google review

I visited as part of a tour bus. I love a sculpture and the location of this one is special. Not a lot to vist after the sculpture but who can go to Copenhagen and not visit the sculpture 🤷‍♂️Only problem is the sun is pretty much always on her back so unless your a professional just get your snaps and memories 👍

David C — Google review

A beautiful place.Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening. If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Simon B — Google review

The mermaid is one of Copenhagens most famous sights so we had to visit her. Although the sculpture is really pretty I don’t know if it’s worth the trip. As expected the place is filled with tourists and tourist busses. There are some food and souvenir stands that are way too overpriced. The here is no bus or metro stop there so it’s also not that easy to get to. If you’re going for a walk along the canal though it’s a good destination.

Annette — Google review

I went twice. Once at 7am on my own (when I was the only one there) and 2pm on a tour group when there was a swarm there. It's really rather underwhelming (it's small) and while the park it is in is lovely, the views in the background of your photo are of an industrial part of Copenhagen.

Paul D — Google review

I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.

Aaron P — Google review

It’s a long walk and there isn’t a faster way to get there, but I felt it was worth it personally considering the cultural significance of the statue. And the walk there you pass the Kastellet and its beautiful nature views. If you’re physically able to climb down onto the water’s edge before the official stairs you can avoid some of the crowd. Free access for everyone.

Indie G — Google review

The mermaid statue itself is alright, too crowded and full of tourists as per. The surrounding parks and walkways are very pleasant though and worth a visit. Clean public toilets nearby a bonus

Vishnu R — Google review

The Little Mermaid statue is a must-see for any visitor to Copenhagen. It's a small bronze statue depicting a mermaid sitting on a rock by the water's edge. The statue is based on the famous fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The fairy tale tells the story of a mermaid who gives up her tail and her voice in order to become human and win the love of a prince. The Little Mermaid statue was created by Edvard Eriksen and was unveiled in 1913. It is a popular tourist attraction and has been featured in many films and television shows. The statue is located at Langelinie promenade, which is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the views of the harbor.

Abir G — Google review

The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.

Predrag M — Google review

This is just a small statue by the see. What is interesting is all the stories behind it. They say if you have not seen the Liittle Mermaid then you have not been to Denmark. Saw this as Part of our tour . Might be hard if you do this on your own

Annie 5 — Google review

I've read such disappointing reviews, but the Little Mermaid sculpture is not bad at all! ☺️ If you are in Copenhagen, you should definitely visit her, she is just minding her own business and sitting by the sea. I give only 4* as it was really crowded, and everyone just gathered around it, so this visit wasn't really organised.

Emese G — Google review

Good to see this iconic landmark of Copenhagen. But not as remarkable as expected, a nice view of water with boats in the wayer. A crowded place

Jay K — Google review

I feel it's too much of a hyped statue. That too when you visit during the peak crowd hours you are not gonna see even the glimpse of the mermaid.Maybe "a must watch" only for the people who know the fairytale Little Mermaid by Edvard Eriksen. Nothing much for a commoner.

Surya B — Google review

Small statue of the mermaid. Best to see from land as it faces in wards. It's a popular attraction do the earlier in the day you go the less others in your photos.

Vicky F — Google review

Some people complain about the size of the Little Mermaid, well folks it's in the name little! It's a pretty, reasonably sized statue on a rock with a nice background.I was there 3 times within last 20 years, always in the mirning or the evening, when there are not so many tourists. And the place is part of Danish folklore. The park adjoining is beautiful . Ideally suited for nice walk snd photos. It's quite easy to get there by metro and about 15 minutes walk. it's also a good idea for a walk back into Nyhavn after a visit to the Gelfion Fountain.

Bridge

Sights & Landmarks

Transportation service

The Øresund Bridge is a remarkable engineering feat that opened in 2000, connecting the coast of Sweden with an artificial island and a tunnel to Denmark. It is the longest bridge in Europe, featuring both a motorway and railway line. The bridge spans 8km, while the full connection includes a 4km underwater tube tunnel and another 4km on the island of Peberholm to accommodate passing ships.

Passed under the Øresund Bridge... Good to watch bridge architecture from sea... Railway track built beautifully below the road... Great experience👍

Arun T — Google review

Very fascinating how it is even possible to build a bridge in the middle of the ocean.I wish there was a view point where you can stop on the bridge, but there is no possibility to enjoy the view. The price is insane in my opinion, it is around 130€ for a passenger vehicle for both ways, that is ver pricey.

😌(Translated by Google)We took the ferry from Copenhagen to Malmö and from there over the Öresund Bridge back to Copenhagen. As loyal Denmark holidaymakers, we paid using the Bizz transponder and so we didn't have to stand in the long queue.😉😎 The different colored lanes regulate payment. The bridge itself is impressive and forms a road and railway connection 8km long. And 💡on the bridge or in the searuns the border between Denmark and Sweden. We would do it like that again. 😌

Toller Ausblick während der Fahrt über die Øresundbrücke. Dadurch kommt einem selbst die Fahrt kürzer vor, obwohl sie knapp 8 Kilometer lang ist.(Translated by Google)Great view while driving over the Øresund Bridge. This makes the journey seem shorter, even though it is almost 8 kilometers long.

Julian V — Google review

The bridge that's connect Sweden to Denmark is beautiful. Everyone that visit Malmo needs to see it. The place is the perfect balance between art, engineering and nature. I simply loved to visit the nature reserve around the bridge, if you go a bit far from the bridge it is silent and a perfect place for contemplation, near you will be disturbing by the heavy traffic sounds. If you intend to bike or walk please use anti tick (fästing) for safety. Enjoy the view!

Lesley B — Google review

I used the Øresund Bridge a few times, and it is an amazing architectural marvel in Europe that offers an excellent driving experience. The views are impeccable and panoramic. However, it is very expensive, so if you commute regularly, it's better to buy a pass. BroBizz works here.

Crossing from Sweden to Denmark, The Öresund Bridge & TunnelCrossing this amazing bridge was another highlight of our tripNow that we have covered 3600 km by car, we have experienced some stunning landscape, a few boring highways, exceptional backroads, but this crossing was a short but memorable highlight!Starting as a bridge from the Swedish side, then over a man made island into the long tunnel, just to arrive almost straight into Copenhagen! Some prefer the train, others a Ferry but for us driving through this technical masterpiece was it!Completed only in around the year 2000, the 12 km long bridge/tunnel is the 2nd largest in Europe!Roughly 20000 motorised vehicles cross this route daily!Certainly one of the highlights on our Scandinavian Tour!#denmark #sweden #thetourist #alifetimetrip #Malmö #copenhagen #öresundbridge

This bridge links København in Denmark and Malmö in Sweden. Upon crossing, there may be security checkpoints where people might be asked to show their passports, though I took the train in both directions and nobody asked for my identification. It's architecturally an impressive structure, and frequent crossings benefit both countries' economy.

Alvin M — Google review

The Øresund Bridge in Malmo is nothing short of an engineering marvel and an iconic symbol of connectivity and innovation. Spanning across the beautiful waters of the Øresund Strait, this bridge is a testament to human ingenuity and architectural prowess. One of the most striking aspects of the Øresund Bridge is its stunning design. The elegant, sweeping curves and sleek lines of the structure create a sense of grace and beauty that perfectly complements the surrounding natural landscape. But beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Øresund Bridge serves a crucial purpose, connecting Sweden and Denmark in an efficient and convenient way. It has not only made travel between these two countries more accessible but has also fostered economic and cultural ties, making it a symbol of unity and cooperation.Whether you're driving across the bridge, taking a train, or simply admiring it from a distance, the Øresund Bridge is an awe-inspiring sight that leaves a lasting impression. It's a remarkable testament to human achievement and a must-visit landmark for anyone traveling to the region.

Andrew L — Google review

02-05-2024 they charge 63€ per pass (6m car), it is hard to find info on the fees. The bridge itself is fantastic.

Marcin — Google review

The more I travel Europe with my family the more fascinated I am with the bridges and Øresund was no different, lovely bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden, made our travel seamless as we were exploring all the Scandinavian countries. My only negative is the cost for non frequent travelers, one through the Toll after passing the bridge was ca. €70. only frequent travelers benefit from a discount when they register for an annual account. The was beautiful nonetheless as well as the transition to the underwater tunnel.

Tshepo M — Google review

Castle

Museums

Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.

Kronborg Castle is a treasure, transporting visitors back in time with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. Don't miss the chance to see the famous "Hamlet's Castle" where Shakespeare's iconic tragedy was set – it's truly magical. Besides the captivating history, the castle is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, providing a peaceful spot to relax and take in the panoramic views.

Shivesh K — Google review

Definitely worth a visit. About an hour train ride from central Copenhagen and a short pleasant walk over to the castle entrance from Elsinore station. An incredible view awaits from the top of the castle.

Sam L — Google review

There are plenty of things to do and see at the castle, if you are with private tour then you will get more time to explore. View from the top of tower is magnificent, steps aren’t that tough. Each room explains its history. Exploring the case mates below the ground was fun. Some areas are totally dark. I loved the countryside drive. Its worth to visit👍

Really beautiful castle with several interesting exhibitions. While the castle itself has an entrance fee, this included a 15 minute very interesting introduction to the story behind the castle. You are really emerged in the period and can imagine how it would be to live there.

Linde N — Google review

The castle is spacious and pretty. When we visited, there was an exhibition Magical Ceilings highlighting their beauty. However, some rooms only have natural light and, therefore, some rooms were too dark to see the furniture and paintings well.

Kronborg Castle and Helsingor are truly beautiful and very much worth a visit. Hr on a very efficient train and you are transported from Copenhagen to a memorable place by the coast, with view's of Sweden.

The castle is beautiful and spacious, has history and interesting storiesIt was an inspiration for HamletI had a good time walking around inside the castle, as well as taking some time to enjoy view outside (You can see Sweden not very far on the other side of water)I went there on weekday and there were not many people, which was very enjoyable*I would recommend to go for an exploration in underground area. There are more to see! Just be careful of getting lost

A lovely day visit from Helsingborg. The castle is the remnant of the glory of king Fredrik 2.They have tried to preserve as much history as possible. The location of the castle is another plus point. On a Sunny day you get to enjoy the sea view and the waves.

I didn't had time to visit, but it looks great from the ferry, even if it was on repair the east side of the castle.

It is absolutely captivating when seeing Kronborg Slot from far. The walk from the station to the castle is slightly long but it’s very nice to walk beside the tram tracks and along the pier. The exhibits spread across the levels were nice and cozy.As it is at the tip of the land, the sea breeze is so cooling. I’m totally mesmerised by the beautiful scenery.

Jalen T — Google review

I didn't go inside, but even the view from outside worth to take 1hour train from Copenhagen. I also enjoyed the train and the scenery on the road. By one day pass you may visit many places around the city.

Wonderfulll castle. Unlike many other castles, one feels comfortable and cozy in the castle. It is also full with artist dressed in ancient clothes with further deepens the experience.

Plamen P — Google review

Really interesting Castle. With a great lookout tour, really well kept tunnel system, a beautiful exterior and an amazing art exhibition "Monsters" which talks a lot about medieval Monsters and current day mental health. Really well done exhibition.

Ketchup W — Google review

A must see for me while visiting Copenhagen. Less than an hour by train from the Central Station. And it’s included in the Copenhagen Card! You can feel the history and the spirit of Hamlet walking through the rooms. Wander around the quaint town of Helsingor when you visit, especially Saint Olaf’s Church.

Ted G — Google review

From the outside this is a very unique massive Castle! It was nice getting to tour through the lower Dungeon area. This Castle did not have as much furniture, artwork or unique ceilings.

Razorrau1 — Google review

Nice walk. You can fully walk around the castle inside and outside the castle walls. Only to enter the castle and entrance fee is necessary.

Everything is very well kept. There is something for everyone. Amazing for children. Loved the monsters exhibition, that should be for adults education as well.

Kronborg Castle, HelsingørDay trip time, although we wanted to drive further but got prevented! However the stop in Helsingør was totally worth it, about 50 minutes from our place in Copenhagen, totally worth the drive!Kronborg is a castle and stronghold in the town of Helsingør, Denmark. Immortalized as Elsinore in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, Kronborg is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. (Source @wikipedia)A 17th century castle build by the Frederic the 2nd, for his wife Queen Sophie of Mecklenburg(he was 38 , she was 15), he was infatuated by his wife he build her the dream castle so to speak!Little anecdote, looking at the writings inside the Church/Chapel it was all in German, after I inquired about that, seems in their days the Nobility in Denmark would converse in German! Interesting!Lovely walk around the whole area, impressive!Enjoy!#thetourist #alifetimetrip#copenhagen #denmark #helsingør #kronborgcastle

One of the most beautiful castles I've seen during my trip here in Denmark. A must visit for everyone, and a wonderful museum.

Francisco O — Google review

Very interesting castle, with plenty of explanations that detail how it was used and what role it played internally and related to the Danish territories back then. There are puzzles and activities for children as well.

Museum

Historical landmark

Sitting on an artificial island in Djurgarden, the Vasa Museum is one of Sweden's most popular museums with visitors from all over the world. The museum tells the story of how a ship sunk after leaving Stockholm only to be rescued 300 years later almost in perfect condition.

Very well done museum. Highly recommend, even if you are not interested in ships. Neither me nor my wife are Maritime enthusiast but we loved the museum and stayed until close. It's a very interesting and impeccably and uniquely preserved time capsule. We wanted to read every plaque. If you go, we recommend you start with one of the free tours - that helped give us an overview, and then we perused the museum ourselves for another few hours.

A definite must see when in Stockholm. This was included in our go city pass ( which I highly recommend ) its location is brilliant too. Easily accessible by walking/ public transport. The area has a few museums to see.To be able to witness such a ship and It's history is incredible ( even if you're not into ships)The museum is well designed to really take in this mighty bit of history/ design.

Aurora S — Google review

This is an absolute must for anyone who visits Stockholm. It's been a bucket list item.of mine for decades and I emwas seriously worried that it would not live up to my hopes and dreams. I am overjoyed to say it exceeded everything I hoped for. The impact it goes when you walk in and see her in incredible, it's just astounding she's in such good condition for something that was under water for 333 years. The museum has cleverly placed the ground floor at waterline level and the impact is enormous. The other floors, including the basement, give new perspectives to the ship and there is a ton of information about her, the salvage operation and the history. The crew are not forgotten with reconstruction of some faces and everyday objects. Kids can design a ship on computer while there are models and reconstructions to look at as well. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Just go early to avoid the crowds.

Campbell H — Google review

Enjoyed more than expected. Decided to visit since had a hour to spare before the next scheduled activity. Advise getting there when exhibit opens to avoid the crowds. Beautiful restoration and interesting history. Loved there was more to see than just the big ship. Overall, worth the $20 entry fee.

C. K — Google review

An absolute must in Stockholm, the place to visit. We were shocked there was “only” one ship/wreck to admire, but it took us anyhow more than two hours to do the round. You can easily spend half a day if you have enough time, very impressive museum!

Galgolubina — Google review

Amazing museum! I was totally awed by both the size and the beauty of the Vasa. The artistry and workmanship that went into her construction is astounding! Sadly, since she sank almost immediately on her maiden voyage she was probably a better work of art than a sailing ship! I’d suggest an early visit. And if you have the Go City Stockholm card enter through the prepaid lines on the left! No wait at all when I got there!

Ted G — Google review

Lovely experience. Even better was the girl explaining the entire history of the ship to us in English. She was hilarious, subtle, and very nuanced while narrating the story. My wife, a history buff, though rates it a five star. I would have liked a little better lighting. We thank our friend who recommended the museum.

Ravindra S — Google review

What an unbelievable museum! This Museum is about a ship that sunk more than 400 years ago but due to special circumstances, it remains in an impeccable state. This has a lot for scientist, but also us, the audience to have a peek in the past.A very interesting museum to visit. Also sort of a unique museum and its category.I highly recommended for anyone who loves history, science or generally likes museums!

Nikolas K — Google review

Visiting The Vasa Museum is a must if you are into your history and ship wrecks. With a detailed interest in the Mary Rose and Titanic, I found this museum fascinating.Over 300 years underwater and the Vasa is beautifully preserved as are the remains of her crew, their belongings and weapons. The photos don't do her justice and seeing her in real life as you walk through the doors does take your breath away. There is plenty to read and explore which will keep you busy for a good few hours. However, even with the 'kid friendly trail' I perhaps was pushing my luck with a 5 and 3 year old. Nevertheless, the exhibits, the explanations and the fact there is a whole warship to look at from hundreds of years ago is more than enough to visit (kids under 18 are free too which is great!).When we visited there was also a small bonus exhibit featuring Lego creations of the worlds most famous wrecks including a sinking forward section of Titanic! What luck! The kids actually liked this part as they could build their own Lego creations at the two building stations in the exhibit. Not sure how long this will be situated within the museum so if this is an attractive element to you then it is probably best to go soon!

This museum is entirely occupied by the warship named Vasa which belongs to 17th century. The ship sank in the harbour within a short time after launched for the maiden voyage in 1628. It was salvaged in 1950's after more than 300 years being under water. Ship stays fully intact and is a superb specimen to study how ships during 1600's had been. Ship has a wonderful collection of carvings and sculptures.Museum structure allows you to observe the ship from several levels. You cannot get on board the ship but lot of artifacts found on it are on display. There is a film show about the history of the ship.It is a must visit in Stockholm. Booking in advance is recommended during peak times.

What an amazing museum! A must visit when you are in Stockholm. It's a massive ship and magnificent sight up close. Each floor offers something different and great angles of the ship. It's fun for the whole family and super informative/interesting

The Vasa Museum, located in a picturesque setting in Stockholm, is a must-visit for history and maritime enthusiasts. The museum centers around the well-preserved 17th-century warship, Vasa, which famously sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged in 1961. The museum offers guided tours in both English and Swedish, providing in-depth insights into the ship's fascinating history and the recovery process. Visitors can also watch a captivating film in the auditorium, showcasing footage of the ship's dramatic recovery from the sea. Inside, the museum is filled with informative exhibits related to shipbuilding, naval history, and artifacts from the Vasa, making it a rich, educational experience.

Entrance is 20€. Even if it may looks busy, there is no queue at the entrance. Tickets can be bought on-place.I really recommend the visit. It is easy to get lost among all the items and different part of the boat recovered. I also recommend whatching the 30 min movie displayed in the internal theater.

Luca L — Google review

A must visit in Stockholm, even if you aren't normally interested in stuff like this. The ship is very well preserved and the exhibitions are really interesting without going into too much detail. I also recommend the short video about how they saved the Vasa.

Soma L — Google review

This is the most extraordinary display of a full sized 17th century ship which was sunk on its maiden voyage and raised 300 years later. The film about it is great. The surrounding exhibits are exceptional and the ship itself is mind blowing. This is a highlight of any visit to Stockholm

G M — Google review

The best museum I've ever visited.- I was impressed by how well the condition of the Vasa ship was even after nearly 400 years with 333 years of those being under water.- The museum restaurant was also wonderful with delicious dishes (the brownie I had there was super rich 🩷)Totally recommend if you're in Stockholm!

Rinlada N — Google review

The boat is cool but the museum gets unbelievably busy and some of the information seems to be false considering how fast the boat sank which would give no evidence to some of their claims. Overall a very cool visit. Pretty big and there's a few things to do. They have a model of the gun deck which was quite interesting to walk around. Small models of the ship can be found showing the inside and outside

William P — Google review

Great interactive museum. Take 2-2.5 hours to go through everything. Tours were available and from what I heard were very impressive on knowledge much more than reading the signage. All in all a great location kids around 8-10 would enjoy it. Younger than that not sure you can keep their minds engaged for a long period. Price was not bad and no line.

Todd W — Google review

A fascinating place to see and a must if you visit Stockholm. The museum holds a complete ship recovered from the sea. An amazing work of engineering to recover, intact, the ship. The exhibition is very well documented, a short video explaining the story, tens of displays with different information, a free audio guide, (usable in your own smartphone or tablet), interactive displays and free 25 minute guided tours. The museum has a restaurant, shop and toilets. Even though there are many people usually inside, there is enough space that it does not feel too crowded. When we were there there was also an interesting LEGO exhibition of sunken ships. With different stories and reproductions and, at the end, you were encouraged to build your own LEGO ship. Younger kids could have fun here too.One can easily spend 3 hours in the museum, taking pictures, reading and understanding. So plan it we'll, and don't rush it!

Dear San Franciscan,Yes to some it is just a sunken ship rescued, but there’s so much history involved behind the scene. A must visit when you’re in Stockholm. No, you can’t enter the ship, to be fair, this will help preserve to generations to come.We spend like 1 hr here, but this is because we are with a group tour.Perhaps, if we aren’t rushed, we’ll spend a proper 2 hours here.
